I almost always find it a treat to read or listen to Amrullah Saleh sab, he is vehemently anti-Pakistani, however there is bitter delight in trying to understand people who hate you.

What is the meaning of the Bilateral Security for Afghanistan?
Afghanistan wants to achieve stability by signing the Bilateral Security Agreement with the United States of America. The BSA should result into total collapse and defeat of Quetta Shura, Haqqani network and the Pakistan based support infrastructure for terrorism. Else we won’t achieve the desired stability. The Afghan conditions and pre-conditions that this agreement should lead to peace and stability are logical, deep and insightful. We should not be treated as a disposable ally. We stood with the world against global communism and we did fight to our bones and yet we were treated as a disposable ally. We stood with the world again against terrorism without attaching any hard conditions and we deserve to be treated a viable long term ally not as a disposable one again. The global powers threat of leaving us in poverty and starvation if we don’t rush to sign is void of morality and their humane obligations. The sources of tension, instability and the threat against our stability are clear crystal and well known to all. We want to overcome these challenges, exploit our own economic potential and get away from a life of charity and hand to mouth. Debating the BSA at the national and public level has given it legitimacy and weight. When we sign it we sign it as a nation. Else numerous other treaties have either been signed or forced upon Afghan leaders in the past and none have brought us a lasting stability and all have lacked national acceptability. So here we are choosing not to paid in rent but in stability.
