United States has been one of the wonderful countries of the world which was founded by great visionary people who loved freedom. But in recent decades it has become more and more like a police state trying to impose its tyranny upon the world.

My argument is simple and to explain it, I put the video of Ron Paul here who beautifully explains my point of view on the issue. I believe without a complete rethink of American policy things would turn ugly for US in the future with the country going bankrupt while sitting on top of thousands of loose nukes in police state. Though my hopes are not very high since Obama had also come to office with a "slogan" of change but literally nothing happened even got worse.

Since this is going to be an election year (hopefully not another fraudulent supreme court guided one), I am putting here a poll. Suppose you are an American and this is the election day, which candidate you would vote for?

My choice is clear, what is yours:

Bahaha, you actually think the U.S will "break up" and turn into anarchy if it goes bankrupt. So many on this site seem to think that is what happens when a country goes bankrupt.

You obviouly have no idea how the real world works.

So do you. if you still focus on your limited knowledge of the post modern world.

the US will fall and if we are able to foresee a future of a breakuped North America, that's will no better than South America today.

Then according to your logic Pakistan will break up too....and way sooner than US as your economy is in shambles, terrorism is on rise, Baluchistan problem, Government-Military stand off. This xdrive guy said right thing, you really need to learn how real world works.

Leave them. They are the ones that most benefit from the fall of American nation. While we, Pakistanis continuously criticize the United States government here on the forum, but we do love American people and that is why their true and justified interests are also dear to us. We do not want American people to fail and that is why we are criticizing them while these guys have other plans. Remember your best friend is the one who does not lure you into wrong actions but rather stops you from going over the cliff. What ever happens in US election affects the whole world. That is another reason for people to take interest and make their concerns known to American people. Such guys as above, want Americans to bankrupt themselves fighting perceived enemies of India and Israel. Some one has to expose the truth.

Even though it is very unlikely that the US will 'collapse', do people have any idea of the consequences in the event that America falls?

They keep praying for America to fall, while at the same time promoting their goods for export into the US :woot:

No sooner than India, with insurgencies in all of its corners, with the largest population of poor people without even access to toilets in the world (Source: WHO). Let's not kid ourselves. India despite its surface progress, is in deep problems in its foundations, while all of Pakistan's problems are transient in nature. By the way personal attack such as above which was applauded by you and others only makes the point I am making more prominent. Since only people without rational thought processes resort to such measures to be heard but in vain specially when amongst an intelligent audience.

Now you come to India, i thought you were talking about US. FYI there was no personal attack, i just explained things by your point of reference. I hope you understand relativity changes everything. And if you doubt me, ask any senior member who knows a lot about geo-politics etc, about will US breakdown, he will definitely laugh at you.

P.S.- Stop using same old poverty, no toilet like crap arguments.

I'm not the one claiming a country that goes bankrupt "breaks up" and goes into anarchy.

It's a moronic thing to claim. Argentina went bankrupt, they are still here, theres no anarchy there.

. .
Heres a list of countries that have gone bankrupt in the last 200 years. They are all still here and haven't "collasped" "broken up" i automatically facepalm when people post that a U.S default will mean anarchy lol.

The truth is the Republicans have imploded due to all the separate factions. Teaparty, social conservatives, neocons, Paulist, Christian right, they can’t get together and find an electable candidate. If 12 months ago you would have told me the Republicans would be in this situation; I would have thought you weren’t thinking correctly.
As a right leaning Independent, I am a bit surprised but I must admit Obama is the only one looking presidential right now.

I guess some Indians and Israelis have the wrong notion here that they are the friends of American people. But that is wrong and an absolute forgery. They might be friends with American government but not with people of America. The truth is Pakistan has done more for American people than the world realizes. Pakistan brokered the China-US relationship and without Pakistan mediating that peace and friendship, there was no way, Americans could do it on their own since they did not even recognize China at the time. This relationship has enormously benefited both American people and Chinese people. When American people needed help in cold war, it was Pakistan that stood by them. What Indians have done for American people? Zilch. What Israelis have done for Americans? Nothing except giving them undue pain. So do not get us wrong here. We do not want America "break up", that is why we keep warning American people to take the right decisions in their life. While Indians and Israelis are encouraging Americans to take wrong decisions under the cover of false friendship and their ultimate goal is to make American people fail.

When a super power goes bankrupt, it is not the same as if when Algeria goes bankrupt. The nearest analogy we have is USSR, which never recovered.
