KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain has expressed strong condemnation over the Interior Ministry’s decline to permit Gen. Rtd. Pervez Musharraf visiting abroad to look after his ailing mother, ARY News reported.

In a statement, Altaf Hussain said it’s very sad that Government has denied to grant him permission to go abroad for visit his ailing mother, who is under treatment in a hospital located at Sharjah.

MQM Chief has appealed Interior Ministry to remove Mushrraf’s name from Exit Control List (ECL) on humanitarian grounds.

Earlier, the Ministry of Interior has rejected the Musharraf’s request stating that Pervez Musharraf was restricted from travelling abroad, upon the orders of the high court and the Government is not authorized to allow him.

Following the governments reply, the counsels of the former President have decided to file a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Lets go back in the history and see if Altaf expressed regrets when Sharif brothers were not allowed to come back to Pakistan to attend their father's funeral.

It was reported that Nawaz Sharif’s brothers have been allowed to come to Pakistan on the special request made by the Saudi government to President Musharraf. However the Sharif brothers would not be allowed to make any political statements or
socialise. They would return to Jeddah after Rasm-e-Qul.

obviously not nawaz's word because he earlier said that PMLN will remain neutral and only court will do justice with musharraf, since court already declared him free to travel, PMLN sould honour its words and remove him from ECL since court has declared him free

Good, so MQM is ready to face the trial as Mushi's ally and true supporter during his tenure? That's really cool.. :D

thats not really cool because it was PTI, PPP and other parties who welcomed the martial law, Imran khan was trying to get musharraf support before 2002 elections and you know what, MQM guys were even jailed by musharraf

up until 2001 MQM had very bad relations with musharraf

history lessons mate history lessons, you wont find MQM ever on the wrong side of the history we are very clever :D

Welcoming marshal law and actually supporting it by sitting in lap of the dictator for several years are two vastly different things. Just move your clocks to post 2002 and see what happened from 2002 to 2007. You and your radar is stuck in pre 2002 era. :woot:

And also, if welcoming a marshal law is treason as you've said then:

MQM is asking for Marshal Law and is urging Army to interfere even today. So courts should just halt the case against Mushi and hang MQM gang leaders by balls first. No?

martial law was finished when MQM joined the govt, and PTI had dealings with musharraf on a very early stage to make him the prime minister

Again, you are just going round and round in circles. Answer me straight.

Did PTI or IK ever join Mushi's govt?

Did any PTI member or IK ever accept any office or portfolio in Mushi's era?

Did MQM join Mushi's govt or not?

Did MQM receive benefits from NRO or not?

Was MQM not part of Mushi's govt in one way or another until Mushi was in power (as dictator or as civilian)?

Isn't MQM still supporting Mushi till date even when he's widely considered as useless to our political system?

Now stop doing circus and come to real stuff, show some guts and give proper true answers to above questions.

That would set a very dangerous precedence if musharraf is allow to go. This fat ignorant doesn't know If musharraf is allowed, then every criminal whose case is sub judice would file a petition to go out of country e.g. Tauqir Saadiq of OGRA scandal can easily go out of country under the excuse of meeting his family!

Why London secretariat let this illiterate speak whatever he likes to speak without careful considerations?

Janay do Bhai,,, Ye MQM kai paiso par UK mai parh raha hai... Nai bolay ga un kai khilaf ;)

merey bhai its called support, PTI and imran khan supported musharraf, imran khan meet musharraf many times to develop his party, he was asking help directly from the dictator, its another thing musharraf didn't entertained him

Did any PTI member or IK ever accept any office or portfolio in Mushi's era?

no, but musharraf didn't give portfolios but it was PMLQ, the section of PMLN after they won the elections, portfolios or not, PTI and PPP and PMLN all fought local body elections under him and they even won, they also joined musharraf's parliament instead of boycotting him, many ex mush parliamentarians are in PMLN, PPPP and PTI now, only MQM is the one not having mush parliamentarians

Did MQM join Mushi's govt or not?

yes MQM joined musharraf's govt but first of all musharraf who was legitimized as the president of Pakistan by none other than iftekhar chaudhry

Did MQM receive benefits from NRO or not?

it doesn't matter because MQM opposed NRO and clearly said that it is ready to fight any case closed under NRO, and to share you the secret MQM has fought all big cases legally and wrapped them up before NRO took place, when judiciary was not biased and establishment was in MQM's favour

Isn't MQM still supporting Mushi till date even when he's widely considered as useless to our political system?

MQM is only supporting musharraf illegaly but on legal grounds, and since mush is not a dictator, there is no harm in giving political support to musharraf

MQM is infact trying mush to politically support him and bring such honest guys in political arena
