There are many many factors involved in IQ and there are many many different types of IQ. Culture, parental expectations, nutrition, pollution all have an effect. Not so long ago women were considered stupid, they were not allowed to vote, and their opinions were not regarded. A generation ago women did worse than men in anything that requires intellect, there were no women doctors, scientists or even writers and yet today women do better than men on average in college and areas like medicine is rapidly becoming feminized.Let's face it, we can't talk about it...Then why bother?
The IQ test should not be taken as an absolute measure of intelligence. The way the tests are designed have a lot to do with the performance of a subject. It is much like a survey, in which the way the question is framed often determines/influences the response.
The very basis of an IQ test is the definition of "intelligence", and not everyone agree what intelligence really means. There is an abundance of literature that criticizes the IQ measure.
So to judge people based on "intelligence" and IQ tests is wrong, misleading, and unfortunately has often been used to promote racist arguments and narratives. Lux provides a good example here.
LOL, it's like saying if you're 5'0 130 lbs you can play professional football as a linebacker? Race and IQ is different for all races. It's been a controversial subject for decades but scientific fact show that race/IQ make a difference overall.Race is a "social construct" just like Gender behavior. There is nothing biological to it.
However, it is true that throughout history...different peoples/races..have outperformed other people/races. It wasn't because they were "inherently" superior to others. It was based on MANY different factors (resources, geography, tribal energy, conquests, and so on)...
If one race was biologically better than others...then it would have dominated entire history. But we don't see that, do we?
Egyptians dominated culture, Persians, Romans, Greeks did..then Arabs did, Chinese/Indians made significant contributions as well...
Only an idiot would believe that just because you are born with a certain skin tone, you are "superior" to other human beings...
LOL!!
Does the picture look familiar? Year after year, match after match, you see the same thing in this event: total domination by black people. Now you are going to tell me this is all the results of hard work, smart training and genetics has nothing to do with it? Clearly genetics differences do exist and they are more than just the colors of our skins.
However, accepting the differences is difficult and is detrimental to those who are deemed "genetically inferior". If I were in charge of Chinese sports, I'd dismantle the 100m sprint team. Because obviously we are inept in this thing. Even if China may produce a world class sprinter once in a blue moon, it'll only be an isolated genetic anomaly. China will never be able to compete in this event consistently. That is how we are built, that is fact. But, it is unthinkable if China really stops competing in Olympic 100 m sprint events. That means the whole nation has completely given up on this sports. It will never happen.
So basically, when it comes to genetic differences between people, the unspoken rule is:
Do not talk about it, ignore it and believe what you want to believe. Cheers
We can't say one race is "superior" than another. But I think it's Ok to say Africans generally do better in basketball and running while Chinese generally do better in maths...They are facts, every race has its own merit.
This thread is racist ! Oh,the OP is Chinese, not a Caucasian White guy.Ok,it's fine than, nevermind.
Running had its merit 2500 years ago when mankind was hunting gazelles for its survival.Today, not so much.
