What's new

All of Zardari family members has left Pakistan for Dubai UK and USA

There you go upside down again. The government has to supervise the military, not the other way around. Is that really too hard to grasp?
Hi,

and do you think current corrupt elite with their incompetence is even good enough to run the country alone, let alone supervise the well-disciplined institution?

Your analogy will only work, if there are better qualified people not those who are not eligible to use such titles of govt to run the country.

Is it too hard for you to admit the gross incompetence of current or previous jahil elite?

I know Pakistan very well, and what I am saying is no analogy, it is the only solution that will work. There is no shortcut to this. None.

Hi,

No, you dont know anything. th system will only work well as long as people in govt put their countries' before theirs.

Well, my name is not Jon Snow, so may be I do know a little bit. :D

There are no shortcuts to the path that I have outlined above. It is okay, nobody wants to follow it anyway since just about everybody in Pakistan wants instant results, which is why it looks like the way it does.

Hi,

The path you suggested will only start when and supported when people are competent enough with clean background, not the people whose hand are stained with blood from so many victims.

I support the system, but not that people who are in it currently

Pakistan has chosen not to get started on this path for nearly seven decades and I do not think it wants to start walking down it anytime soon either.

Hi,
totally wrong, the system never worked because it had people who were not qualified to run the system in first place.
Can you support criminals in the name of democracy running govt and judiciary?

Regarding someone as a criminal as a personal opinion is very different than actually proving it in a court of law. Zardari may be a criminal in my view, but he cannot be declared one as a matter of law without following due process. Where is the due process? And if you believe that there is no due process possible, then feel free to gather a crowd and go and lynch him for all I care. It would be wrong to do so, no matter how justified you might feel.

Hi,
Yes thats how screwwd up the justice system and that is why when it crosses a certain limit, the redundancy system kicks in.

Though i can say for the past few years the boundaries where alarm go off for the redundancy has been too far stretched, with intangible results, in fact the trend was worst in history of pakistan .
judiciary or constitution if cannot provide justice that it stood for, then i can take that very paper it was written on and chuck it down the flush, Unless the whole system is cleansed of dirt.

what is the use OF such system which only provides blanket cover to criminals and goons ?

So when is the bloody revolution coming as @MastanKhan wants? I think not anytime soon, but he might tell us his views after going through our exchange above.

Interesting debate between Syed Ali Haider and Salarsikander.
I think we need to understand the problems and then look for solutions. I will start by saying that Pakistan has a very weak judiciary and there is no accountability. This is the main reason for most of the ills in the society. People know that there is no accountability so they break the rules/law and get away with it. This happens at all levels. Reform the judiciary and invest in education. Danda/stick will only fix things in the short term and it will be like plastering over the cracks in a building rather than understanding and fixing the core problem. There are no shortcuts as Syed sahib rightly said. It will taken decades to improve the current situation. The sooner people understand this and appreciate that there is no alternative to hard work the quicker the problems will be solved. One can always start with his/her family and friends to bring about change. We may not see the change in our life time but the foundations will be there for future generations.

Well said, but Pakistan's history shows a clear preference for taking shortcuts and ending up with bigger problems leading to more shortcuts and leading to even bigger problems and then taking more shortcuts and .....

Govt and Army both are responsible... why they allowed Zardari in such situation to go abroad ?

Since there is no FIR against him, stopping him would have been unlawful. He had a chance and he took it. Not to forget he is Ex Commander-in-Chief..
