CAIRO: Al Qaeda says it is severing all ties with one of its purported branches fighting in Syria and that it is distancing itself from the rebel infighting in the civil war.

Al Qaeda's general command said in an Internet statement early Monday that it's cutting off the group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, after it disobeyed orders from the terror network's leader, Ayman al-Zawahri.

The authenticity of the statement could not independently be verified but it was posted on websites commonly used by Al Qaeda.

Al-Zawahri last May ordered the Islamic State to operate independently from a rival Al Qaeda branch in Syria, the Nusra Front, led by Abu Mohammed al-Golani. Al-Baghdadi rejected al-Zawahri's orders and unsuccessfully sought to merge the two branches.

Comedy, they're all zionist Al Qaeda Islam ashamers

Syria had already became a breeding ground for Salafi funded takfiri nutjobbers laughing at the actors of SNC. The media now mostly refer to Al Qaeda in general because FSA doesn't exist nor dominate on ground anymore.

Now the so called ISIL is considered as illegitimate by Zawahiri which is laughable so we will see ISIL vs Al Qaeda (Nusra) vs IF vs FSA after Assad decides to resign which will be fun to watch.

Even though, they all share the same ideologies which is confusing but if they manage to defeat ISIL and push them back to Iraq then all hell break loose in Iraq while the second match begins which is FSA vs IF vs Al Qaeda until one goes down then the final match and the winner takes Syria.:omghaha:

For the reminder of the nutjobbers.
