well the Mbt3000 is made on the pattern of our recently inducted al khalid 1


al khalid 1=Mbt3000

while al khalid 2 is something different

Al Khalid is MBT-2000 upgraded with Sagem optics. MBT-3000 replaces MBT-2000 and basis of Al Khalid 2.

Mbt 3000 has used the technology based on the 99G,at some point it is just a little bit worse than the newest 99A2,but this shows the different. The 99A2 has a much better armed barbette and a much more powerful engine,what's more,the 99A2 has laser weapon.However ,the Mbt 3000 is still a good choice for many countries,but it's the most expensive tank that China has ever made,this is because this tank is drafted for the rich countries in Arabia.

It was sheer disappointment during recent trials in Pakistan. Seems like NORINCO needs to do some serious rework on the engine and transmission, thermal imagers and the main gun.
