Guys I did a little research to see the other side of the pictureand found out that the decision to bring about private regime is a good option. Below are the few reasons:

1. No burden on Government for pensions of air hostesses, ground crew, planes maintenance etc etc
2. No pressure on government when pilots go on strikes in call for increment in salaries
3. Private investors remain under pressure of government due to strict laws and compete for good (e.g., telecom sector in Pakistan)
4. Reduced corruption
5. Reduction in circular debt on govenment from oil companies e.g., PSO
6. The sense of competetion in National Airline and at the end of the day they acquire corporate culture as well (e.g., U Fone)

Indians are presurrizing GoI to shut down Air India which is being proped up by taxpayers. I think no govt is able to run an airline profitably

U are very much wrong .PIA was one of the best airline in the world one of the most prestigious .Now over employment and few bad ***** have ruined it .

I believe if it cuts off all the politically appointed employs and get a good MD it will once again up to compete against any world class airline in the world.

Believe me GOVT is so much impotant that they are not able to control any big private company , see for u urself Car industry they give money to secretaries and they have there own policies , no one check the quality of the vehicle , no one care if they good for environment or not , who gives are damn when the department secretary is in their pocket.

These BA5TARDS have ruin the country by taking bribes from multi national , they can sacrifice even the very intrest of people of Pakistan . They will sell their mothers, daugthers as far as they get money .

So private sector is good but first u need to have system to keep a check on cooperates , otherwise we will end up like what America is right now , totally controlled by cooperates and their decisions.
