Ahiska Turks are denied turkish passports

That is not really right our Ancestor were the Kiptchak and not the oghuz but because of the ottoman time our language is almost the same as turkish but i see myself as a proud member of the turkish and turkic family

Its supposed to be a theory. Ahiska Turkish is actually closer to Azerbaijani than to Istanbul dialect. Perhaps there were indeed Qypchaq elements among Ahiska Turks, but most should descend from Oghuzes.

Wow!! It looks better than US's citizenship laws. Is there a waiting list for citizenship? Are there any intermediate stages like green card(permanent residency) in acquiring Turkish citizenship?

I get what you think. You shouldn't compare it with US green card system, they accept to citizenship annually. My knowledge on this issue is limited. You can check for info in the link below.

I dont know about Oguz or Kipchak cause there are also many Kipchak Türks in here but Ahiska people are definitely Anatolian people and it is the biggest shame of Turkey for not having them to Turkey. There should be financial loans to relocate them to Turkey and some programs to fix their social-security problems about being retired and recognising their school transcripts. There are many of them who gets Turkish citizenship but they show some papers about being Ahiska Türks and then they live here for 5 years with residence permit than they are eligible to take Turkish citizenship which is a big shame. This government is tryign to arrange them to relocate to Georgia but in their places armenians live now and I dont believe it would be a good thing for them to live with terrorist armenians cause they are armed against Georgians and why the hell they should learn Georgian to work other than farmers. Turkey has given citizenship to millions from Balkans, some were Türks and some were not Türks. The bad thing Türks here stay silent is that they do not know anything about Ahiska people, I only learned it a few years ago while watching '' Louise Theroux '' documentary about russia. Those Türks are getting harrassed daily by racist '' cossacks '' and USA is giving them citizenships.

.
When Arinc ( his grandfather is the one who killed the soldier Kubilay and have pictures with greeks when they invaded Turkey and has Arabic background ) said those words they accepted the citizenship of 3600 Syrians ( Not Syria Türkmens )

We need to give Türks citizenships and blue-card they are giving now sounds very good for people who have other citizenships and their home country do not accept double citizenships

Another issue is that the government made Georgia allow the Ahiskans return to their homeland but in return of this Georgians also wants to give Georgian citizenship to ethnic Georgians of Turkey who escaped to Turkey more than 100 years ago against the oppresion and attacks christian georgians-armenians-russians. They are already trying to spread false propaganda about our different ethnic groups like Laz as if they are Georgians

They were actually moved from Turkish tribes of Anatolia to Caucausia. In this youtubelink they say they moved to Ahiska in 1578

And these are the Ahiskan people in Azerbaycan, they sound more Anatolian, I know you compare it with Istanbul Turkish but thats not right

I dont know where this Kipchak thing comes from but we can't say they are not Oghuz but we can say they have Kipchak elements mixed with Oghuz.

Will Turkey give citizenship to Buddist or Shamanist Turkic people, for example Yugur Turk, Altay, Khakass, Dolgan etc.? Thank you.

No they dont, but they support these kind of groups if they are organised. We have TIKA, for example the educational books in Tatar language are given to Tatar people in Finland, they delivered water pipes to homes in Moldova to Gagauz people ( They speak Turkish but they are christian), lastly a Turkic group found in Mongolia, they are called Duka people and they are very interesting, they live like very old Türks and Tika gave them some help for thinking their winter conditions. But Tika also helps other than Turkic groups if they have friendly ties with Turkey like Bosnians-Albanians-Some Africans and Turkish government gives full scholarships in Turkey like Hazara people

There are so many ethnic groups in Turkey, which one of them is forced to be assimilated?
They all have their own subcultures,as long as you live by the country rules all is fine.
If you are refering to your religion,no one can force you to be muslim(with this government you never know)

.
I dont mean that Turkey wants to assimilate us but because Ahiska and normal Turks are so alike that many of us who live in Turkey forgot their background oh and that with religion im muslim but i know some Ahiska who are jewish.

You said it yourself, Ahiskas forgot their background.
They should cherish the culture and tradition, open an association of Ahiska people.
Teach your children what is to be Ahiska.
Maybe the state would help to.

.
The problem i see with Turkey is that they want to settle most Ahiska back to Georgia but most of the Ahiska dont want to go there except the old people we are turkic people and want to go to Turkey but what i really dont understand is why did Turkey neglected us like that werent we worth of the media or for Turkey?

Sir i didn't know about Ahiska Turks till your post. I don't think you are being neglected intentionally. We Turks always cherish their kindred.

Maybe thats the problem, most people dont even know you exist.
I know you feel neglected, but the Turkish media these days is so occupied with other issues.
This is a start, many people here will tell others about the Ahiska people and eventualy the media will pick it up(a documentary about the Ahiska Turks for starters).
Slowly all of the Turkish people will know you and things will change for the better.

Maybe Ahiska Turks can organize and mass mails the journalists of milliyet-hürriyet about their issue or they can hold a protest with 20 people in Ankara/Kızılay.

I was in Kızılay today, comies were holding a protest with approximately 100 people. There were cameraman and reporters everywhere.
