Its not Pakistan's job to constantly compete with India, neither is every military development in India, Pakistan specific.

pakstan is just maintaining a minimal detterence against india in all departments, its just that pakistan in the missile department doesnt lag behind, and even you cant deny that. the trend has always been that india does something pakistan follows, it a defensive stratergy.

we know that like for like pakistan cannot keep up with india (apart from missiles - not unless india suddenly develops a load of new ones) and that india isnt always pakistan specific (e.g. agni 3 = china). but india has to maintain its own minimal detterence against china so thats why these new military developments are needed.
