Multiple explosions have been reported in Kabul’s key locations, including the presidential palace and US embassy. President Ashraf Ghani, who fled the country, has broken his silence, stating that he’d quit to prevent bloodshed.
The blasts shook Afghanistan’s capital late on Sunday. The explosions reportedly occurred at several locations, including the US embassy, which had been evacuated earlier in the day. Another explosion occurred near the presidential palace, which had already been overtaken by Taliban militants.

“Two explosions occurred near the US embassy and the presidential palace in Kabul. Pillars of smoke are rising,” eyewitnesses told the Sputnik news agency, adding that the blasts had been followed by gunfire.
Meanwhile, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, who fled the country earlier in the day, broke his silence, taking to Facebook to explain his decision to quit. He said he chose to resign in order to prevent the Taliban “massacring” civilians in Kabul, and accused the group of planning an all-out assault on the city.
Earlier on Sunday, the militant group said it had halted its offensive and called for negotiations, insisting it wanted to avoid a battle for the capital and the subsequent loss of civilian lives, and was instead seeking a “peaceful and satisfactory transfer of power.”

US stubbornly refused to leave Afghanistan for over a decade. It came up with all sorts of excuses and rationalizations to stay there, and suddenly it just up and leaves, without doing anything to stop the Taliban at all? You know when something seems too good to be true it probably is. US regime may be up to something behind the scenes. This is all too quick and easy.

All those years of bloodshed, training Afghani troops, money and equipment poured into that dump. What was it all for, let the people of this country sort themselves out, they seem to like things the way they were before the US and others got involved! What a complete waste of time and lives!

How will the US military establishment reconcile itself to the Afghan loss? How will it explain the tremendous waste and sacrifice to the rank and file soldiers, only to fail after twenty years of fighting and effort? How will the US political establishment attempt to make all this worthwhile? What propaganda will it spin to justify this failure? Every officer in the US army should be ticked off that they were sent on a fool's errand-a mission impossible-and they all should be resigning their commissions at the earliest opportunity.

This was bound to happen. It was just a matter of time. And these generals and politicians all should've known it. Don't they read? Don't these US military officers learn about wars and history of warfare? Were they absent the week they covered prior empires losses in Afghanistan?

People talk about Diaspora of the Elite. Diaspora is about ESCAPE from that which you created, which now is about eating the Rich. Recognize that Diaspora is an escape mechanism to no where. The Diaspora Group to Russia is being, undermined by Russia placing duties on Metals, further is going to prevent Gasoline prices becoming their food. Along with other devices to protect Russians from becoming a home for the Diaspora Elite to practice their thievery from the Russian People. I believe that Mr. Putin recognizes this problem and will starve this Group. Otherwise the Russian People will become the NEW US. Thus do not allow the Disapora Group to make a home in Russia.
