You mean isolate it like N Korea?

Purely academically speaking- what does it look:
1. India, through the Iranian port, can allow Afghanistan access to India, and the sea w/o going through Pakistan.
2. Afghanistan can cut off Pakistan from direct access/route to central Asia i.e. make it go through long expensive uninhabitable Chinese terrain to get to C Asia.
3. Afghanistan and India can eliminate Pakistan from any trilateral energy pipeline too. Afghanistan and other C Asain gas rich countries can go through Iran, and subsequent Iran-India pipeline. They all want to sell to the huge Indian market and its energy needs
3. U.S can help with severe sanctions to cripple Pakistan's economy, like we have on N Korea.

Experts Praise President Ghani's Attack on Pakistan at Summit

President Ashraf Ghani's statement at the NATO summit in Warsaw that Pakistan must be isolated from international and political platforms because of its ineffective counter-terrorism actions, has earned praise from Afghan political analysts.

Speaking to leaders of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on Saturday in Warsaw, President Ghani said that except for Pakistan, Kabul has the cooperation of every regional country in its efforts to achieve peace in Afghanistan.

Ghani's remarks at the summit drew strong reactions from Pakistan. Pakistan's ministry of foreign affairs said president Ghani's assertions were "unfortunate and hostile".

The Afghan government dismissed the statement by the Pakistani foreign affairs ministry.

"Pakistan has always pursued a hostile approach, while on the other hand their (Pakistan's) public statements were seemingly friendly. The leaders of national unity government adopted the right position at the NATO summit. They demonstrated the demand of the people of Afghanistan who want pressure to be put on Pakistan and that the dual-faced politics of Pakistan be exposed. Political pressure on Pakistan and resistance at home were the only solutions," political analyst Saleh Mohammad Registani said.

"Pakistan and Afghanistan, whether today or in the past, have been like two wives with one husband. The final decision is taken by their boss. After reading about Ghani's remarks in the media, they seem similar to those of Hamid Karzai, his intelligence chief and his minister of interior. I hope that Ghani proves it practically – one practical step is more precious than a thousand slogans, " MP Ramazan Bashardost said.

"It has been a long term stance of the president of Afghanistan that regional counties should not classify the terrorists into good or bad. That position was once again taken at Warsaw Summit. What the president said was that a consensus existed between countries of the world that international terrorism should be brought to an end. President Ghani's remarks, in real sense, were focused on the realities that can help to give an end to the war in the region," deputy presidential spokesman Shahhussain Murtazawi said.

Ghani's stance on Pakistan has also sparked reactions in the Afghan senate.

"It was the first time over the past thirteen or fourteen years that I saw that such remarks on the intervention of Pakistan in Afghanistan made at an important international conference. The Afghan president's remarks this time were very clear," senator Faisal Sami said.

During Warsaw Summit, President Ghani also highlighted Pakistan commitments for peace within the framework of four nation talks, but said that despite Islamabad pledges to cooperate in the peace process, it still divides the terrorists into good and bad.

Kabul believes that Islamabad only takes action against those Taliban forces who oppose the Pakistani policies and not the Afghan Taliban or the group's brutal offshoot, the Haqqani network that continue to wage war against Afghanistan.

Hahah.
And then they beg Pakistan to get Taliban's on table for peace talks.

.
Our establishment still loves the Afghans though, more than Pakistanis. This was evident from the fact that even a retired general was very sorry for the afghan deaths and blaming them on Pakistan for being allied with U.S while forgetting the 40k plus Pakistanis dead at the hands of his beloved TTP momins.

Until our policy makers get their heads out of their behinds, even the weakest nations like Afghans will continue to throw dirt on us. Salam to our establishment, the people with brains of 14 year old teenagers.

Sometimes I wish there would be a "police muqabla" in army too for such kind of retired traitors. They should be identified during their tenure. They enjoyed, got all benefits, still taking benefits but are not less than NS and such.

Wrong, Afghanistan isnt able to hurt Pakistan. Pakistan can go via Iran or China. Can get gas from Iran, if not from Turkmenistan. Can get fra middle east via sea pipe line etc.

1. They should certainly do that because first Pakistan's economy is in no way dependent on Afghanistan but is vice versa and secondly keep in mind that Chabahar is not a deep sea port and does not have the facilities available as compared to Gawadar and still won't be operational for quite a while, and you know we can very easily block economic assistance to Afghanistan today and they can wait for the time when the Chahabar port becomes active.

2. Pakistan is already involved with China with massive development of infrastructure and energy in terms of CPEC and China's development of western provinces is already underway, there are already rumors of Russia, Kazakhstan etc getting involved with CPEC so potential Afghanistan blocking Pakistan's "direct access" is already obsolete.

3. First Pakistan has working if not good relations with Iran, secondly the sea route for a potential gas pipe line would be tremendously more expensive with massive manpower required, third China can show interest in the Iran's gas pipeline deal with massive infrastructure development already taking place in Pakistan, such an adventure would be far more cheaper and more profitable.

4. Another stupid point, Pakistan was sanctioned by the US in the 90's and it in no way hindered our progress and resolve so what makes you think today when we have China's, Turkey's and potentially Russia's assistance would US sanctions hurt our economy in anyway?

Pakistan really needs to stop giving a damn about Afghanistan's concerns for once. Keep building the fence and trenches, and fire back whenever the Afghan border police (whom the Afghan government seems to have zero control over) get rowdy and start shooting at Pakistani positions.

.
This is a thank you from famous back stabbers for Pakistan helping them when they were isolated by the world.

Now that is fanboying on a whole new level. Congrats, you win a star
