Nobody here is denying that it once made up part of their funding, they still banned it and you can see it from your own statistics when cultivation massively dropped in 2001. That ban still extends to this day, and even other parties in Afghanistan acknowledge this fact.

More than half of the poppy grows in Helmand, and I guess you are well aware who controls Helmand province.

You really have no idea what your talking about, just because one area is more fertile than another doesnt mean that a single party solely operates in those goods. The government there is doing a pathetic job at preveting this showing that they themselves are complicit. Im sure that the Taliban does overlook certain operations and dealers, but the still have an official blanket ban in effect, and seem to actually do better job enforcing it compared to the Kabul govt.

Talibans allow poppy growing Farmers only if they pay taxes..
