Let's be honest, India isn't doing great as well. Nothing really to brag about.
However, Pakistan has been keeping up with a hostile neighbor which is many times its size. Indians on the other hands are struggling with China which is much more comparable than Pakistan is to India.
Hi,
I never claimed India is doing fantastic, we did fairly well. To begin with, both India and Pakistan used proxies for their own agenda. The difference is, India knew when to pull the plug and get out.
Another thing is, India knows its limitations. We don't try to punch above our weight and end up with broken arms.
China is not at all comparable to India, for one they are surrounded by middle and higher-income states and is resource rich. The neighbours around India are doing worst economically than India. It is a blessing and a curse at the same time as our trade now depends on west and Southeast/West Asia, blessing as we don't have any credible competition or neither do our neighbors hold any leverage on our trades.
Secondly, India is not hostile to Pakistan, as it was only Pakistan who tried to wrestle control of the region that's within the control of 'several times larger state', this security-related approach adding to the fact that your several times larger neighbour is growing economically faster has only exasperated your situation that you became more and more hostile while severely limiting your ability to even see things from an economic perspective even when your economy is drowning.
You're right on one thing, Pakistan is not comparable to India, but we already know that, we are not in any competition with you.
