Advani urges Mamata to take up Bangla influx - Indian Express

L K Advani, BJP, CM Mamata Banerjee, Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, Bangla influx Posted: Mon Jul 11 2011, 02:53 hrs kolkata:

Senior BJP leader L K Advani has urged Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to take up the issue of illegal migration with Bangladesh during her visit to the country with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Congratulating her for ending the 34 years of Communist rule in bengal, Advani termed her rule as the beginning of a new chapter in its politics.

“I congratulate Mamataji for this....Overall the change that has come here has been good,” the former deputy Prime Minister said.

He was speaking at a function to commemorate the birth anniversary Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, founder of Jana Sangha.

Referring to the role played by Mookerjee, Advani said his sacrifice was extraordinary and he was the first martyr of Independent India.

“Recently there have been murmurs of attempts being made to restore the pre-1953 position in Kashmir. We want to assert that the dream of liberating Kashmir from India will never be realised. We should not step back an inch from the integration that has been possible because of the sacrifice made by Syama Prasad Mookerji and it is our aim to ensure that Article 370 of the Constitution is repealed,” he said.

I am just wondering why this extremist hindu politicians of BJP did not bring up this issue during their time. Every sensible person knows that 20 million illegal bangladeshi is a big and moster myth and thats why congress will never ever raise this issue officially as other then humiliation and embarrassment nothing will be gained and in the mean time this extremist hindu politicians will be able to term congress as sympathizer to this non existent illegal bangladeshi migrants. With claim like 20 million will make the door open to ban the useless and incompetent BSF which failed to stop 1550 person daily and 500000 person per year to enter India illegally for the last 40 years... n even bharti civil administration and police even did not able to arrest them despite claim such as 37% of slum dwellers of delhi and majority of maid of delhi and mumbai and majority of the slum dwellers of kolkata are illegal Bangladeshi. There should be a limit for hate filled politics to target minorities in India. An official complaint should be filled in the UN for this discrimination and human right violation by terming muslim bengali Indian as illegal Bangladeshi migrants.

Who said they did not raise the issue???
They brought whole bunch of Urdu/Hindi speaking tupi wala from Delhi and Mumbai slum and tried to push in inside BD border. BDR kicked them back to the land of wonder again.
Besides they tried to invade Padua border and the same response and lost 90 of their holy soul..

And, Who is Mamata????

And why these guys alwyas try to bring WB when dealing with BD. There is no reason to feel insecured about, WB not going to join Bangldesh. They chose India.

. . .
Leader of Trinamool Congress. Defeated the communists. For the first time in 34 years there is a non communist govt there.

That I know, thats why I raised the question.

. .
Err, one Indian leader requesting something of another Indian leader.... why is this in the 'Bangladesh Defence' section again?

.
The answer is so simple.

If someone is going to Dacca, then why not ask that person to take up the issue also, more so since it affects West Bengal?

Has it been stated anywhere that the issue will not be raised by other dignitaries going to Dacca?

illegal BD immigration is not a myth its true. Visit delhi or districts in WB like murshidabad and malda. its full of BD immigrants. Most of them were given shelter during BD liberation war but they did not return. Also there is a slow but continuous flow of BD people into india. just see the statistics of recent census from around 30% muslim population it has grown to around 58%. The problem is these people do not contribute to the society, the eventually become goons of political parties or fundamentalists. I'm not saying all BD people are like this its just around 87% who cross over in search of better livelihood are uneducated and have a cultural gap with the indigenous population. i live in kolkata and one of my house maid is a citizen of BD a resident of khulna dist.

"ami faltu kotha bolchina, BD members der shunte kharap lagte pare kintu ei log jon ra ekta headache for govt. from my personal experience ami bolchi"

Yes he is asking a person who vehemently raised the issue of discrimination against Bengali Muslims all around India in the name of Bangladeshi in Indian Parliament. What is that tell you?

That tells us that she is the right person for this job as her claims will have credibility. The rest will be targeted of branding Bengali Muslims as Bangladeshis.

But your Chief Minister does not subscribe to your theory.
Regardless its none of our business and she does not have authority to speak in Bangladesh.
If you have any concern, send your Foreign Minister or your Prime Minister.

That is your wrong assumption. And she not going to raise that issue in Bangladesh. She is smarter than Advani...
