Now moderators have been tagged, who will do the cleaning and will ban the members of opposite views. Yesterday i twice reported the posts of a Pakistani nationalist who was calling Afghans "inferior breed"...no action is taken against him and his posts are still there. This is the problem of this ultra nationalistic forum. Its selective. Insult Chinese, you are permanently banned. But you are allowed to insult Indians and Afghans to your heart content. This is nationalism

Oh come on. Its not as bad as you say. I have seen Pakistani members get banned as well and many of them are beyond "watan parast" as you place it. I believe it has more to do with reporting. I have reported many Pakistani members and many indians and actions have been taken against both and sometimes both have escaped.

There are many other factors as well.

Look at it from this point of view as well that dual accounts and banned members coming back are not allowed but everybody knows you luffy, samandri, braith, main babba yet they allow bcz unlike many others they hold you in greater esteem despite your questionable views. Many banned members will say you are given special treatment when they are hunted and banned if they make new accounts...

Quite frankly I would be saddened if you were banned bcz of your contribution in the pakistan history threads which are a treat to read. I join forums for learning and higher standard of discussions as well indepth analysis of situations so a racism and abuseless forum suits me.

I am a very old member of this forum. I joined it in 2010 so i know what i am talking about (you are a newbie on the other hand). I am not making hollow claims. The same moderators, who might be busy according to you, have issued me infractions in the mean while.

Prostitution in Abbottabad well Afghan or no Afghan it is bit doubtful for me. Not that I hail from that area but this business has no place in that city.

I will spill the beans, its because of Horus that i was allowed to come back after permanent ban, because of the history content you are talking about, much to the surprise and disagreement of the moderators. But i am not immune from infractions as its the moderators who issue infraction and i get banned more often than any one else. As i was taking the matter to GHQ after receiving infractions, so some moderators have even attempted to get rid of me by issuing three infractions for one violation. For example a mod gave me three infractions for my thread "Iqbal on Watan-parasti" and my Braith account was permanently banned (he also posted "enjoy the vacations racist" in the ban message). I have returned after a break of an almost year and immediately after my return @Spring Onion attempted to get rid me and reported me for multiple ids which to my surprise did not work. I think the reason of this relative laxity is relatively low activity on the forum compared to previous years. Wemaster, even reversed an infraction issued to me by a moderator , when i argued how i did not violate any forum rule.

And just to clarify, i have never operated double IDs or multiple ids..... i have created new ID only when i was permanently banned, and not immediately after ban......some of the names are changed names of one id .

@Proudpakistaniguy Marwat Khan Lodi, Luffy and Pak-one are changed names of one id (the one with around 5,000 posts), second id was "samandri", third was "Braith", fourth is Mian Babban. I dont do fake identity. Its always me with same credentials. But @Spring Onion has claimed that i have also an Id in which i am pretending to be an indian.....kind of expected from her to stoop to such level

Why care so much for internet versions of people? On ground we all know things are lot different. You being in Abbottabad is proof of that.

Well quite frankly that highlights you add value to the forum. Horus would as you would say get added under the category of " watan parast" right yet he vouched for you which highlights the value you add and how again I would say that a privelage not given to anyone else. Be or luffy, samandri, braith or mian babba you are found on this forum which means they are not against you. Its all gloom and doom. He vouched for you against different voices who would have made the claim that letting a banned member come back is against the rules and the rules were relaxed for you. I think it also shows that Horus respects your knowledge and sincerely wishes that things won't go south.

No one is.

Yes you do get banned but since 2010 you have always found presence here. Under different titles which we all knew were you but always here. It means that despite opposition within mods they want you to be here.

OK that's not cool. One could only guess motives but it was a thread with a stanza from our national poet. I remember that thread where I also posted a stanza from our poet highlighting the requirement to become something far above nations and countries. Its poetry and we all know the views of Iqbal on many aspects. That was uncalled for.

Take into measure that mods are humans who have formed opinions like all humans. Previous posts and history always gets added never the less if that was the reason it was not cool.

I don't think so. I think the reason is simple. You add value and for that laws are being bended for you which some agree with and some disagree with. This is why you may see infractions and infractions being reversed.

To some the reason for this bending is justified in your historical content and for others the historical content is no excuse for bending of rules. Simple.

Look all forums have a set of members that get away with things. This forum is no different and believe it or not you are one of them. Rules are bent for you. In forums that demand activity like cricket forums a member who posts everyday would be given special treatment I'm contrast to others. In forums that demand content the one who posts quality would be given specially treatment.

Believe it or not you have been given special treatment that other banned members and unbanned members can't call for it. As you said it was your historical content. You add value so rules get bent for you. The forum is not out to get you but I believe there would be calls by those who believe that rules should be uniform but you can count on those that believe leniency for those that bring quality content.


Anyway listen I really hope you do stick around. Different opinions are just that opinions. As long as they are not abusive nor racist then its fine.

My own activity is very low due to real world requirements.

It's not easy finding a prostitute during Ramadan. During the holy month they lie low, as their customers stay away.

Even during the rest of the year in Peshawar the oldest profession operates with discretion bordering on invisibility.

But I had been told in the refugee camps around the city that some destitute women coming over the border from Afghanistan had turned to selling sex to support their children. It's not hard to see why.

The war has left many women widowed and without other immediate family. Village women, who only know how to farm, find themselves alone in one of the huge refugee camps or in a city.

In Peshawar at sunset each day crowds of women gather on the pavements outside bakeries, begging for bread at the breaking of the Ramadan fast.

Hidden problem

Arian McGee works for a charity that carries out education work on Aids and other sexually-transmitted diseases in this intensely conservative society. That means not just going into schools, but trying to reach those most at risk - the sex workers of Peshawar and the other frontier towns.

Adrian and his team had become familiar with the public pick-up points - bus stops, parks and even hospital waiting rooms. In the last two years, he told me, they had seen a steady and visible increase in the number of Afghan women working as prostitutes.

"It's a hidden problem and I can't put numbers on it, but it's happening," he said.

"Some of these women have no other option, they've tried to get other work, but it's so difficult for women, some turn to prostitution."

Adrian sent us with one of his colleagues, an outreach worker recruited from a male dance troupe - they often worked alongside female prostitutes, and he could take us to a brothel.

Slight, lithe and incredibly camp, he draped one leg over the other in the front seat of the car.

Shops were closing in the dusk. Formidable looking men in turbans hurried home by cycle, rickshaw or horse drawn cart.

Inside the cart the former dancer broke in a high voice into a famous Pashtun love song, Bibi Shirini, giving it the full song and dance routine - swaying and making eyes at our young Pakistani driver, who was by turns embarrassed and pleased.

We drove along progressively narrower and shabbier streets until he told us to stop. We were hurried into a large house, and sat on a bed to wait.

A young prostitute combed out her hair, watching us in the mirror. Five or six girls - none older than their mid twenties - were ushered in to meet us - lining up to look at the two European women sitting in the bedroom of a Peshawar brothel.

Friendly, shy and curious they were all Pakistani - but knew of Afghan women. A few minutes of shrugging and smiling followed the inevitable question - how could we meet them? They said they would ask.

Desperation

So late one evening I found myself sitting on the floor besides two Afghan women - both refugees.

The younger - just 22 - had arrived a couple of months earlier from Afghanistan - from a village north of Kabul. She pulled nervously at her clothes, her head modestly covered with a white voile shawl as she told me her husband and parents had been killed in the war.

She had not long been married, a village girl with no education - now, so ashamed she wouldn't tell me her name.

Left alone to look after three young children, two brothers and a sister, she had walked with them into Pakistan to Peshawar.

"If I had education there's no way I'd do this work," she said softly. "I wish something would come out of the blue to take us away from this life. We are forced to do this; so are other women. For the children I've destroyed my life."

The price for her shame is thousands of rupees. A pretty young woman like this can earn more than a $150 a month, a fortune compared to any other work. But some older women are reduced to selling sex for less than two dollars.

And as prostitutes lose their novelty value many are compelled to move from town to town in search of new clients, trying to keep their price high.

So many of the refugees you meet in Pakistan talk with real longing of going home to Afghanistan. But this time I didn't need to ask.

For this young women and others like her there is no way back. Once a respectable girl, now a prostitute, she won't be able to return to her village.

If you think people of Swat distribute their girls to every Tom and Harry then you are very mistaken. The practice of bride price exists in Swat but think of it as more like Mahr. They dont export their girls to Punjab and have same prejudices about Punjabis as rest of Pashtuns

This is wrong, because most of the men that marry them are from Punjab. I am not saying all Swatis do this either. Usually they offer their daughters to religious people for marriage.

In fact they are very dangerous if some one tries to elope with their girls. From what i have observed, Afghans have butchered those who have tried to elope with their females, and then fled from the area. Now in Peshawar Kabuli farsiwans indeed earned the notoriety for prostitution but majority of them are very decent and respectable folk. Those prostitute were known by the term "ghilam jam" and thats the term not for Pashtuns but for Fariswans.

If you read article, they are mostly talking about widows or afghan women without men to support them.
