Stealing livestock and poultry from farms, the country is literally without law and order, chaos is everywhere..

There are horrific clips, corpses thrown in the streets, wounded and injured and blood, people shot in the head were kidnapped and robbed by criminal gangs!!

It has never been seen a country that collapses at such a terrible speed, what happens in some collapsed countries within months or years.. South Africa reached in only 24 hours, really strange..

They are even burning mosques..

Imagine stealing a TV, then u switch it on at home only to see yourself on the news stealing that TV.

Things are way bad there.
SANDF has been deployed in certain cities.

A clear warning to any country (i can name quite a few) where "ellite" live a first world lifestyle and ruling over millions living under third world conditions...all it takes is a trigger ..in this case jailing an old corrupt ex president!!!..

.
what about them fat black policemen indulging in looting? are they made to live in 3rd world conditions? if anything they seem to be over-fed/over-paid.

it is more to do with handing power over to criminals, terrorists and trash of the world like winnie then zuma and their indian cohorts.

it's like taking an indian rikshaw driver and putting him in the cockpit of a Rafale
My dear South Africa was never a "first world" country..it was an implanted European colony living a "first world" life style and ruling the millions of dirt poor Africans by a police state (remember that guy Mandela!!)...those millions occasionally come out for a look and a loot!..lol...You can not have a "First world" country just because you have built few tall buildings and fancy shops..sorry it take more than that..much more!.

Indians have taken up arms to defend their properties from looters.

Reminds me of rooftop Koreans in LA, 1992

Mosques have also been burnt down after being looted.

A mosque, which was used as a base to feed community members in Mayville affected by fires as a result of unrest since Thursday, has been set alight.

Last week, 120 shacks in a nearby informal settlement were burnt down.

Community leaders in Mayville said the local mosque, adjacent to shops, was completely gutted after looters set fire to the building at 06:00 on Monday.

AK Lockhat said neither the police nor the fire department responded to calls to put out the fire.

"The fire department refused to come. The whole mosque is gutted. One portion is burnt completely. The rest of the mosque has smoke damage," he said.

Lockhat said he, personally, pleaded with police to provide back-up, but to no avail.

Shops near the mosque were completely ransacked and set alight during incidents of unrest sparked by sympathisers of Jacob Zuma, calling for his release from prison.

Lockhat said the mosque was used to feed nearby community members, who were victims of a fire in the area.

"We arranged food … even for breakfast and lunch for today. But we cannot continue with any of that now," Lockhat said.

He added: "We fed 300 people on Saturday and Sunday, and we were meant to feed people today."

Lockat said thousands of food parcels were distributed via the mosque since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Some of the poor community members started coming and saying they are very sorry for what has happened."
