Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk said that the actual U.S. national debt is almost three times the size of the economy at $60 trillion, and “something has got to give.”

Musk says a lot of shit he doesn't quite understand. I suggest just ignoring him.

US debt/GDP is 300%, nothing new, well known.
debt includes federal debt, state government date, family debt, as well as company debt.

US is a country on debt.

.
What Musk mentioned is unfunded liabilities (Social Security and Medicare’s current and future obligations are the two major items), which perhaps is one of the least talked about subject by US/western media ever. But Musk might have underestimated gravity of the situation, it is way deeper than what he has mentioned.

LOL. This is the most BS way of calculating debt I've ever seen. I don't get why some Americans love to cite this other than to sensationalize the issue.

I owe a debt of $100K today, and that's because I will probably spend $100K in the next 10 years. Oh wait, infinite horizon? Then I probably owe $10 million. Wait, but to who?
