Bano Qudsia, Ashfaq Ahmed, Ibne Insha, Ibne Safi, Qudarullah Shahab, Mumtaz Munfti are legends of Urdu prose and poem; true gems of their time.

This is really a sad news. She and her late husband Asfaq Ahmed were the most celebrated literary couple in the subcontinent.

End of an era, another chapter closed. Bano Qudsia and her deceased husband Ashfaq Ahmed were one of the most amazing writers who actually gave Pakistan something to be proud of. Immense contribution iin literature, radio, television, cinema. These are the creative geniuses behind the most incredible programs on TV and books, which made our 1 billion populated neighbour envy us, due to the quality and standard of Pakistan storytelling and quality of scripts.
These people are behind the strong culture of storywriting in Pakistan which helped Pakistan survive foreign content in early 2000s.

إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ‎‎

RIP and what a great loss ..

May Allah Bless her soul One of my favourite writers along with Ashfaq Ahmed (her husband). One of her famous drama serials in 90's (forgetting it's name) addressed/highlighted social issues very beautifully.
