Good idea but it won't work, behaviour of Karachi police with common people is not good, police is habitual of taking bribe forcefully & openly.

Brother my point was more on moral grounds kind of thing. Police know they are corrupt. They know that no one (people, judiciary) will not stand behind them if they ever challenge someone powerful. The precious few honest officers and the even rare honest+ballsy officers get suspended in these situations by their politically appointed superiors.

Personally, I am a law abiding citizen alhamdulillah and would love to see police and all public servants held accountable. Body cams on police faced resistance by police forces in a lot of developed countries as well but it is a brilliant idea.

Tried selling military body camera's to KHI Police and ASF couple of years back and the response was our people will not like them and will purposefully damage them, you will face loss in warranty claims. Attitude towards technology was not too profitable after the deductions of impact of potential late payments and cuts of people in the system to honestly sustain a business so moved away from security related deals after couple of other episodes.

Heard Motorway police and rangers using them now. Infact noticed in DHA-Karachi when Rangers pull over a vehicle for inspection there is one guy filming with a cellphone just in case, something happens.

We should give Helmet mounted cameras to policemen. Postive thing is our independent media, just make video from mobile & present to media, leave rest of job to them.
