army must go and clean the area like they did to swat, the collatoral damage is a very sad but a real aspect of any operation provided the operation is against the terrorists and not the ethnicity

ISPR before starting operation must form some body to address the complains of local people during the operation

This guy says that he has not seen his mother for 5 years as he is studying in the city and cant go back to his home town (Khyber Agency)
Then he claims that he saw PA killing 18 Afridis in FATA , on july 18th , with his own eyes(The incident allegedly took place in Alam Godhar area of Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency on jan 16th 2013) !!!

Some of his concerns are legitimate, yet many are sensationalized, the poor chap was probably given a script or at the very least some pointers to blurt out, his claim of the army's summary execution in front of civilian by standers is also preposterous, he couldnot have possibly witnessed the act because he also claimed to not have visited his native area for five years, as @Azlan Haider so observantly pointed out, the event was reported on Feb, 2 , 2013......

Most of the people that I have come accros hailing FATA see no difference between the army and the taliban. For instance, one of my very close friend from Mohmand agency told me how Army grabbed the only school in one area as operational base, depriving it from education. Anger is certainly cooking against both Taliban as well as Army and no one seems to care about it.

I was watching a documentry "restrepo" about american war in afghanistan in a valley of kunar. It is a story of the army post by name of restrepo on top of mountain. Every day they faces intense firing from invisible taliban. One day they hear the news that about 12 american troops are killed by taliban some where else. They decides to take revenge from taliban by attacking nearest "hideout" of taliban. They reach near that village on ground while apache helicopters fire misiles on that hideout of taliban. When soldiers reach to that destroyed house they are disappointed to see that instead of taliban they have killed 10 women, kids and old men. There are also badly injured kids and even infants. This was "collateral damage" very light word, very easy to read but difficult to watch. Interestingly no one is shown crying at the dead, the family members and villagers are watching the soldiers silently with serious faces.
When these american soldiers are returning back, they are nervous that taliban in the mountains might have already heard about their presence. They pick up the radio chat of taliban, who have heard about death of women and childern and are planning to ambush american soldiers from all sides. They called helicopter for rescue but within short time they are ambushed by taliban from all side, 1 soldier dies. American soldiers are shown crying and panicking, when apache arrives, the invisible enemy has already retreated.
Similar situation is in FATA though with much more blood shed. Collateral damage is many times more, so is the heavy casualties of pakistani faujis.

Army using school as a operational base against terrorists and army killing civilians(intentionally) are two opposite things basically .
The TTP would have destroyed the school anyways if it were not for the Pakistan Army protecting the area
Under law , Army can even take possession of private lands if necessary (for protection of the state , and life of its people)
And this does not happen in FATA or Pakistan alone ,

Enough of special treatment of the tribal areas
The President should use his power and declare that the whole of the Tribal Area shall cease to be Tribal Area any longer [under article 247 (6) of the constitution ]

Well he also told me one disputable thing that TTP spoks person Shahid Ullah Shahid was also a student who couldn't complete his matriculation and subsequently hired by TTP. I would not bring such things up because i can't endorse authenticity of such claims but since you brought up the point so as these things are different thats why i am sharing this disputable information. You deny people choices, they take choices what are available. Most of the students of FATA have to come to Peshawar of Islamabad for even college education. If you grab their oppertunities, they ll take whatever are available to them i.e. joining local malitia and talibans.
