A Muslim Woman Founded World's Oldest Continuously Operating University

they own buddhist kafirs univrsity as their own ..:D:D:D
It is in present day Pakistan - they have every right to be proud of their heritage. It's good that they have preserved it unlike say the morons in Afghanistan who destroyed the Bamiyan Buddhas.

Exactly as the Egyptians feel proud of the Pyramids and the Iranians feel proud of their Persian empire.

Perhaps you haven't heard about Algebra. Algebra was created by a Muslim mathematician.
If I remember correctly, the word is of Arabic origin but there were simultaneous Math developments across Asia - but yes, great contribution in Math in general too.

I went to Taxila, and we have preserved the stuff. Perhaps you should visit the museum in Taxila sometime.

There may have been neglect. I sincerely doubt they did any such thing.

I've said it on different threads - if things are ever sane, I would love to visit Chitral where the Kalash people live.

Perhaps you should visit sometime. Maybe this may lessen the tensions between Pakistan and India.

Lol - I doubt my visit is going to do much. I did have an invite from a couple friends in University back in the day. But yes, the tourism potential in South Asia is immense. India is just waking up to it but still lags behind a small country like Thailand. So much to see all over South Asia. But the infrastructure is just terrible.

we are friends when we meet them in america or europe ,
when they reach in their homeland , we are kafirs .

Instead of trolling me, you should really troll someone who is going to give you the reaction you want.

Taxila? Always thought it was Nalanda. Will have to check.
Takshasila or Taxila as the Greeks called it, wasn't a university per say when it began, but subjects of learning expanded from Philosophy, medicine, war crafts etc through it's hundreds of years in existence... Nalanda was equally important had students from around the world.
The demise of Indian education began with the decline of those two universities. Then came constant invasions.

True - there were also Odantapuri and Vikramashila. A few others too, I don't recollect the name.

Me neither remember the name. Vikramashila was I think an offshoot of Nalanda. Can't imagine how many knowledge was lost to invasions.
