There is a Mosque in Lahore that was built overnight before the partition (of Pakistan & India).
I heard there was a case in the court where both Hindus and Muslims had claimed to be their land and if I am not wrong Quaid-e-Azam (Muhammad Ali Jinnah) was the official lawyer assigned on behalf of Muslims.
He instructed to build a mosque within the night so that when they go to the court tomorrow it could strengthen their case... on this incident Allama Iqbal said
Masjid to bana di Shab-bhar main Imaan ki hararat walon ne
Mann apna purana paapi hai barson se namazi ban na saka
Kia khoob Ameer-e-Faisal ko sunwasi ne pegham diya
Tu naam-o-nasab ka hijazi hai... per dil ka hijazi ban na saka

By the way, That Mosque's name is "Masjid Shab bhar" and here is one of its picture.... and not to forget this happened not only before the partition but when Allama Iqbal died (he died in 1938 if I am not wrong) and he didn't write so much poetry in the last days of his life so I am assuming thats at least 75 years ago
