A Glimpse of Chinese Spring Festival Migration

We can still blame him though:chilli:!

Getting hit in the face by a fire hose during fire-drills in a simulator!!! I've never had a baby, have been kicked in the... yes, but getting hit with a fire hose hurts bad! I had my right orbital bone broken when one of the other crew members got sick and partially let go of the hose!!!

Fire-fighting on subs... :hitwall:. Scary!

I am very injury prone. I been shot, bombed, stab and even felt off an helicopter 50 ft off the ground....I have been testing the limit since 2001...

Well, i hope this would make you feel better.

that guy looked like he is having a hernia (Did i spell that right?

 I hear that, I'm the same way. Very coordinated on skis, I trip over my own feet on flat land! Can't negotiate my own house without stubbing my toes on something, have broken my ribs I don't know how many times. Going to the dentist after lunch to get a tooth my dog's head cracked repaired. I love my dog @Nihonjin1051 - I'm a dog lover too, but she's going to be the death of me!

Too many injuries!

dude, have u check out the latest piece i wrote? I am also working on one of my own war story i have when I was in afghanistan, but that gone longer than I expected

That the one that saw Levina asking about nuclear weapons and power projection?

This one?

Warfighting Capability and Power Projection

I've been busy telling people their typewriters are hackable by the NSA:partay:

Afraid of the NSA? Not even a typewriter will hide you from their eyes!

You can't hide from the US intelligence services!

:o: - I'd die from social anxiety, really remarkable this Spring Migration Festival is... good for the economy too, though this year Macau is projecting a bad season:(.

Sure, all financial transactions are monitored, not only by the NSA, but the SEC and sometimes the FBI (US domestic Intelligence). But... there are other, non-electronic ways to track someone too:partay:.

All people leave a paper trail, it's not too hard to track them based on their habits!, man are our intelligence services good!

"The pain caused by this insect's sting is purported to be greater than that of any otherhymenopteran, and is ranked as the most painful according to the Schmidt sting pain index, given a "4+" rating, above the tarantula hawk wasp and, according to some victims, equal to being shot, hence the name of the insect. It is described as causing "waves of burning, throbbing, all-consuming pain that continues unabated for up to 24 hours".

I'll will take a kick to nuts tq.

You can see the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum at the top of the mountain when it's cloudy. Sorry for the low image qulity.

I can see it. Have you been there before , to the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Mausoleum at the top of the mountain? Looks really beautiful shot. How cold was it there, btw? From the picture, it looks like it was a chilly morning.

Honestly. This past week when I couldn't tag you and noticed that you weren't posting , i was actually quiet saddened. Then @Armstrong wasn't posting much either, and so was @Gabriel92 and so was @jhungary . I was thinking, "oh no, don't tell me they're going into lurk mode like @LeveragedBuyout ...now who am i going to have great convos with?" lol.

My absence won't be missed, if for no other reason than because I'm not a good fit for PDF. But not to worry: there are several highly intelligent users here on PDF, if one is patient enough to filter out the detritus--I merely find that my patience has largely run out. But I do enjoy reading well-thought out contributions at PDF, even if I no longer enjoy participating. As we can see from this very thread, new and interesting users join all the time.

Thank you for your wonderful contributions, @AndrewJin and @birdy . You are exactly the type of users that PDF needs.

Although we know each other from Internet, we did meet when I traveled in Nanjing. Mr. Birdy's campus is right at the foot of that mausoleum hill. I think for him going to that tomb is like Americans go to Starbucks. lol

I feel the same way. We should force everyone to learn Chinese, shouldn't we?LOL
very good idea. feel the same way ever since the first English class i took.

....judging from the pics it's either police or railway stuff. not PLA.

When it comes to large numbers of people moving at once, the closest thing we have to that in the US if the dreaded Black Friday Massacre!

Mani can understand an empathize about the dentist visit. Dentists --- never really liked going for dental visits. It was never a fun experience for me, i just don't like the sight of a person inserting a needle or sharp objects into my mouth. :disagree:
