What is he upto?
Making profits for our İron Brother.
Which is not inherently a bad thing.

But a case of misplaced priorities.
We should strengthen ourselves economically first. And then buy expensive infrastructure from our beloved İron Brother.

.
I think Javed afridi should gather investors and built a new modern city in merged areas of FATA. That would not just uplift those areas but also change the perception of those areas along giving jobs to millions.

Just imagine a city of 3+ million, atleast 600-700 km away from Pak-India border.

.
Will cost $40 billion, thats like whole CPEC amount. Lol Not happening anytime soon.

Lets talk when Pakistan GDP cross $1 trillion.
Approximately 15 to 20 billion dollars needed but still huge we cant afford

There's a demographic for it allot of kpk people work in Karachi side if they can make one way trip in 5-6 hrs they can leave to work on Monday fajir time stay at there hostel room for week and return home on Friday Saturday evening would save money on renting a whole home and having to shift there families

And business people can easily and quickly travel between the two

or how about enjoy pure tera charas enjoy charsi chargha and back to khi same day!

.
He might be doing the right thing.

No matter how many bigger, better and modern roads are made in Pakistan, the driving habits and driving standards of Pakistanis will never improve.

.
Is this a serious thread ?
The total foreign exchange reserves of Pakistan, based all on borrowing is just 20 b usd or less.
Since the major cost of the bullet train will be for imports , how does Pakistan propose to pay for this pipedream ?
At the moment Pakistan has ZERO kms of electrified inter city trains. What experience do Pakistanis have to run a regular speed electric train ?
The new orange line metro given by Mr Nawaz Sharif is the only train which is powered electrically.
One solution will be the Chinese running the train for a few decades , if money is arranged.
I believe the Chinese laughed at your minister the last time he proposed a bullet train. Whats changed ?

Mr Nawaz Sharif promised same too in 2013 and went to vote for him back then as he was fed up with the foreign policy blunders of Gillani and how it ruined Karachi law and order. It turned out to be unrealistic, better upgrade the existing track under ML-1 project and increase existing train speeds, which is what is being done.
Improved freight use of railway will do wonders for Pakistan as trucks and truck mafia (over loaded and not as per standard vehicle) cause road infrastructure wear and tear.

Mostly are labor class. Do you think they could afford travel in a bullet train on daily basis from Peshawar to Karachi?

Hyperloop is the only solution.
