Is it only going to be for home defence? Different size considerations for HD only or Conceal Carry.

I would not recommend local replicas. Frame and slide are good on those, but barrels are usually not good leading to FTF and FTE issues.

For home defence you want a weapon that will fire every single time, with no Failure to Feed (FTF) or Failure to Eject (FTE) issues. Get good quality bullets, minimum POF (from POF outlet only) or Norinco. Never get desi/reloaded stuff - dangerous. Look at year manufacturing stamp on the bullets, get as latest a batch as you can get - from POF outlet you won't have old stock issue.
