9 Khawatir 9

I was thinking for a while about sharing this TV program with you all.

The name of the program is خواطر (Khawatir). It is a short program of 15-25 minutes aired daily during Ramadan since many years and this year is the season 9 of the program. It is very informative from a social and economic point of view. No country is 100% perfect but we can take the good points from any country and implement it in our country.

It is presented by a Saudi, Ahmed Al Shuqairi. (Ahmad Al Shugairi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) He travels to different countries in every episode and discuss a certain topic relating to that country and it's citizens so that everyone who watches it can compare the subject of the episode in his country with the country being discussed in the video.

The program is in Arabic but since he travels to many non-Arabic speaking countries from far east to the west during the episodes, you will see English being used and will get an idea about what they are talking about.

It is a good way to see where others have reached and where we (the Islamic world) have reached. The sad part about the program is that it allows us to see what the non-islamic countries have economically and socially which are in fact exactly what Islam requires our leaders and citizens to implement and it makes one really sad to see where we as Muslims have reached after the golden Islamic era

Maybe someone in a distant future implement these things in all the Islamic countries.

This episode is about honesty and fairness. You will also see how the Japanese queue for tickets before the strt of a foot ball match.

This episode is about unity. It compares the medieval ages of Europe and the golden Islamic era during the same period. Where Europe has come now after they were fighting in the 2 world wars against each. It also talks about the conditions of Christians in Egypt when Islam entered Egypt.

This Episode is about pits on the roads and how governments of developed countries handle it.

This Episode is about the Syrian guests in Turkey (the Turkish government calls them guests and not refugees). How Turkey is managing the influx of Syrians escaping the fighting and how the camps are run in Turkey and the level of services being provided in some of the camps.

This episode is about food wastage. It talks about how food is wasted in some countries and he honestly also points to an Arab country regarding the wastage of food there.

Khawatir 9, Episode 7

This episode is about "the green gold" (coffee beans). How a country is developing it's main source of income. So much that they have a fully functional port just for exporting coffee beans to the world. It also talks bout about when Yemen was the main exporter of coffee beans in 1800s and now the situation is that the port of the city which was once famous for coffee beans is next to non-existent and non functional.

This episode is about London Taxi. It gives a simple idea of how to become a London Taxi driver. It takes anywhere between 3-5 years depending on the individual to get a certification to be a London Taxi Driver. It also talks about the special features of the London taxi cab.
