What is so surprising about this? OIC chose to reject the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam was adopted in 1990. It reaffirms the inequalities inherent in Islamic laws on religion, gender, freedom of expression, political rights, etc. The World is divided into two parts - one that has adopted/wishes to adopt universal human rights and another that has adopted/wishes to adopt Islamic rights. Saudi Arabia has only done what it signed up to do.
