Reminds me about the incident

I was once travelling to Pattoki on my cousin's marriage and there was a traffic jam near Shahdara (after Muridke but before we enter Lahore) so when we reached near the place where the traffic was stopped I saw at least 2 people smashed/died underneath the truck. One of them had his/her head chopped off and I felt like they were riding a motorbike which came underneath the truck.... That was such a sad incident... I shouted and asked others to not look towards the right side of the road and drove past quickly from the scene. There was presence of police on the scene already who had blocked one lane and only the left lane was open for passengers...

It is very risky to drive in foggy conditions and I once admired my drive who drove me off from Lahore to Gujrat in fog and the condition was so severe that I couldn't evem see my own car's bonnet let alone any other car...

So the accidents happens very often as there are not enough street lights and on many places it is almost impossible to see a car in front of you

.
The roads aren't smooth either/not enough lamps/clear road lanes. Another list of poor management by the Government. What on earth are they doing? People need to raise these issues with their local councils. It's ridiculous really

Pattoki on my cousin's marriage and there was a traffic jam near Shahdara (

In roads pay accident bohat hotay Unfortunately that Shahdra's chock is too congested and the traffic load is high..Often Traffic remained jam there for hours...

Traffic accidents have many reasons to occur most important of which is intolerance among our drivers and passengers and then over speeding...

Allah apni hifz o amaan main rakhy sab ko.. Ameen..!!

You will see boys on bikes, which even can't properly rest their feet on ground. Children on bicycles, without seeing left and right, without awareness of any traffic rule.

I think Pakistani traffic police (wardens) themselves are not fully aware of traffic rules and regulations. What to say about general public.

A politician friend of mine was complaining about traffic hush and rush in Pakistan. I said it's all duty of govt. Mr. politician became angry and said how .. I explained
A new learner for example in Germany, pays almost 1000 Euro and spends 5 to 6 months in training in all kinds of conditions and roads. In the end when they drive on roads the result is very smooth and calm traffic on roads and very low ratio of accidents despite no speed limits on motorways.

General public in any country has no means, and no need to learn traffic rules by themselves. All this is forcefully implemented by Governments, if there is any Government at all in that country.

this bad weather +bad driving combo is deadly.it was expected as visibilty is reduced to 100m max even in the best conditions.
government is not solely responsible for these accidents as our people also have little regard for traffic laws and tend to be very impatient on road.

. . .
610 accidents is a huge num govt should take necessary steps to make these numbers minimum and travellers should obey safety measures.
PS: Shukar Allah ka Pakistan have 1122, One of the best services Pakistan have.

.
Driving and travelling during foggy conditions should be avoided if possible ............ however if you have to then obey some simple rules to ensure your own safety and safety of others on the roads.

  • Check that all your vehicle lights are working including the fog lights
  • Your vehicle's tyres are not worn out, remember rods are slippery when its too much foggy
  • Always keep your hazard lights on
  • Always drive in the extreme left lane (in Pakistan) ............. the slow lane
  • Keep a watchful eye on the lane markings
  • Never go beyond the speed limit
  • Use defogger and wipers and ensure your vehicle's wipers are in working condition
  • Don't apply sudden brakes ........ there is always an idiot right behind you
Take care and stay safe .... Ameen.
