That's why I felt funny when I saw a guy attributed the credit to India dipomacy. India does need to thank China.I know.
I am not saying non-alignment is bad, quite contrary. All i am saying is that the west really wouldnt care if youre non-aligned or not, because the west see india as a potential balancer against China. That concern triumph everything else. Just sayin, America became ally with commie China just in order to contain USSR.
Where is the surplus from. I heard India sold Russian oil to EU with very high price.Apart from containing China, we are in negotiations with the West for a comprehensive free trade agreement. The India-EU merchandise trade has registered an all-time high value of $116.36 billion in 2021-22 with a year-on growth of 43.5%. India’s export to the EU jumped 57% in FY 2021-22 to $65 billion. India has a surplus trade with the EU.After signing free trade deals with the United Arab Emirates and Australia this year, we're preparing to conclude two key trade pacts with the Israel and UK. The FTA talks with Canada and the US are also underway
