People have struggled to understand some hypotheses scientists had, which are correct but were disclaimed back then. So here’s the 5 scientists and their ideas that nobody believed.

@war&peace you may find this interesting
Thank you bro for the tag. I in fact watched as soon as the thread was posted here :)
There is a huge quantum of scientific work which has not been verified or accepted. Anyone who comes up with a revolutionary idea is initially criticised, derided and ridiculed but future events and progress in tools reveal that the person was right all along. For example, Einstein's theory on general relativity predicted two phenomena that were seen by the scientists with skepticism i.e. (1) blackholes (2) gravitational waves .. which until recently were not discovered. Although his theory also predicts the white-holes as well over which scientists are kind of silent
Same goes for the string theory, the length of the string is too small at 1.61×10^{−35} m which is immeasurable with today's the latest tools so the string theory is not taken as credible.

A lot of research in medical sciences has been killed by FDA and Pharmaceutical mafia. Allopathic got favoured over Homeopathic due to certain lobby and a lot of research that showed promising results in the cure of deadly diseases like cancer and others..gets shelved by the mafia.

Indeed!!
And talking about black hole and white hole, how can you forget some exemplary research of its time that happened in our east that described A$$ holes!!:rofl:

just kidding. But yeah you are right. Scientists base a huge lot of their theories of "what ifs" and speculations! Guess work but excellent scientific educated guess work. With time, majority of it is proven to be true!!

No, it is not what-if... those scenarios are not presented as theories by scientists. These are solidly based in deductive methodology and in case of physics, such theories are thoroughly supported by mathematics but to be accepted universally and considered a law, experimental evidence is required that stands of the rigorous process of scientific validation.
