At least five members of the ethnic Hazara Shia community were killed and one other was seriously injured on Quetta's Kasi road on Monday morning as unidentified armed men opened fire at their vehicle, police said.

According to the police, armed motorcyclists sprayed bullets at the vehicle and fled the scene unhurt.

Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.

Balochistan has been experiencing incidents of violence and targeted killings since more than a decade. More than 1,400 incidents targeting the minority Shia and Hazara community have taken place in the province during the past 15 years.

While sectarian terrorism in Balochistan has disproportionately targeted the Hazara community, easily identifiable because of their distinctive physical appearance, other Shias — especially pilgrims travelling to and from Iran — have not been spared either.

We have failed in Quetta, they should migrate to Punjab or interior Sindh, it would be much better from them. Govt should support them.

Really sad ! We should work to root out cause of incidents like m.e countries be it iran or saudia , Pakistan is not a play ground.

Police is obviously not able to protect them. Let's give the local Hazaras their own Lashkar force. God knows they deserve it, after the national politicians having completely failed them.

Agreed with you. Quetta and Balochistan are still now on the horizon of our rulers. Any violence and terrorism there is not among the priorities of rulers of Pakistan.

IF police and FC balochistan can't do anything to stop this bullsh!t then it is better to give weapons top Hazaras. Let them at least give a chance to fight back.

I am seriously disappointed with FC balochistan and its performance on fighting such kind of sectarian terrorists.

This is literally systematic genocide . Seems Wahabi factor is beyond army control, these terrorist constant backing from wealthy hardcore militants in and out of Pakistan.

Lot's of area are no go zone in Baluchistan even for security forces. Try dig in program done by Saleem Safee about Taliban presence in Baluchistan. Don't need any explanation after watching that program. Baluchistan is badly infested with hardcore terrorist. What Maulana Fazulraham sowed, now people are Baluchistan paying the price. And now these dogs are beyond Maulana control. But, there is question mark on two swords and crescent ....right under there nose. When terrorist don't get paid then they become for hire.... anyone can hire them.

I don't buy this.
We may have some sleepers in the region but there are no no go zones in Balochistan.

It's not Bradford or Birmingham.

How can't you see the CPEC angle to this and choose the sectarian or tribal nature?

You are an educated fellow. Kinda odd coming from you

Well, Pakistani govt tried its best to evac Afghan refugee camp, which are not camp anymore. They are breeding ground. And they are protected by our political parties. They have to go back for peace in Baluchistan. But, some agencies use them to counter Baluch separatist factions.

We failed to protect Srilankan team in Lahore. Seems like attackers always know too much about the victim's movement.
That's what we learned from Mubarik Hussein Patel as well.

Now the holy man will have some excuse against the argument of General Bajwa.

I see Baluchistan a big mess. As I said there thousands of unemployed terrorist groups and ready to work " for few dollars more ". If you remember US warning to " Quetta shura" in Baluchistan. CPEC came later , Baluchistan is little better after CPEC project launch. China wants full security for its investment.

The ground reality is much less ideological than you may make it out to be.
