um sir India is not 3rd world it is transforming country and I thought UK is multi-ethnic?

These five countries made a wise decision to issue a travel advisory against that country. They are doing it for the safety of their citizens.

yaar why they picck on countries that are non white is the point to do this kind of thing. Clearly tourists are good for a country and I dont think india is less safe than anywhere else

these state department travel advisories are always quite the ear-load. I know Europeans who were initially tense about travelling to Pakistan, and then at the end --they were sad to leave without seeing more.


but then again -- in the west in general, they are terrified of uncertainty and terrified of death and injury.....theyre quite sissy about such things; they dont even have strong immune systems and they get sick easily from street food or tap water....we tend to be more fatalistic about things -for better or for worse.

It's not purely about the laowai. All "developed" countries in general will look down on developing countries.

It wouldn't make much of a difference if its just one country but then its the Anglo group of U.S-U.K-Canada-Australia-New Zealand at play here ...who also happen to be the most prominent of the developed nations.

Considering their general citizens are used to feather-beds , it will deter a lot of 'sissys' from their India journeys and often for serious purposes.

India has had a massive diplomatic failure , in this case.

No- because as I've been saying- had you bothered to pay attention to the context. travel advisory is not putting down of a country. Its not a ban on travel. It is used by practically all countries. Pakistan puts out travel advisory for its citizen too...both developed and undeveloped do it to eachother.

how is off topic to discuss " travel advisories" as used by all countries? why do you think it should not be discussed to debate the context?
