He continued: “ O people, he who has known me, so he did and he who hasn’t, let him know that I am al-Hasan son of ‘Alee, I am the Prophet’s son, I am the Vice’s son, I am the Harbinger’s (bringer of good tidings) son, I am the Warner’s son, I am the son of the Caller unto Allah by His leave, I am the son of the Light-giving Lamp, I am from the household whom Gabriel used to descend to and ascend from, I am from the household whom Allah Has put away from them abomination and cleansed them, I am from a household whom Allah made loving them a duty upon every Moslem, thus His saying to His Prophet (PBUHH): { Say: I do not ask of you a wage for this, except love for the kinsfolk; and whosoever gains a good deed, We shall give him increase of good in respect of it}; so the meaning of gaining of the good deed is loving us, the Prophet’s Household”. According to Abdullah Ibn Abbas: “ the Prophet (PBUHH) was asked about the certain words that Adam received from his Lord for which He forgave him, The Prophet said: “ He asked Him, “ By the right Mohammed, ‘Alee, Fatima, al-Hasan and al-Husayn have, that you forgive me”.References: Manaqib al-Imam ‘Alee by al-Maghazily p.104, 105/Yanabi’ al-Mawadda Ch.2 p.248.

Al-Tabaranie related a Hadith based on “Alee Ibn Abdulaziz who based it on abu-Na’im, Abdulsalam Ibn Harb and Yazeed Ibn abi-Ziad as follows: After leaving Aysha’s place the Prophet (PBUHH) passed by Fatima’s (PBUH) house and heard Husayn crying, so he said: “ Didn’t you know that his crying hurts me?”References: Siyar A’lam al-Nobala’ Ch.4 p.284/Al-Mojam al-Kabeer Ch.3 H.284 p.116/Noor al-Absar p.139/Kifayat al-Talib p.433

Al-Khawarizmy related a Hadith by the Messenger (PBUHH) saying: “ I am the scale of knowledge, ‘Alee is its pans, al-Hasan and al-Husayn are its strings, Fatima is its hook and the imams of my community are its column; in it the works of those who love us and those who hate us are weighed”.Reference: Maqtal al-Husayn by al-Khawarizmy Ch.1 p.107

‘Alee son of abu-Talib (PBUT) quoted the Prophet (PBUHH) as saying: “ I swear by the One in whose Hand my life is! A man’s soul does not leave his body until it eats from the fruits of Paradise or from the Tree of Zakkoum (a tree in Hell), he sees Death’s Angel, he sees me, ‘Alee, Fatima, al-Hasan and al-Husayn; if he used to love us, I will say O Death’s Angel, treat him gently because he used to love me and my household; and if he used to hate me and my household, I will say, O Death’s Angel, be severe towards him because he used to hate me and my household. Only a believer loves us and only a wretched hates us”. Reference: Maqtal al-Husayn by al-Khawarizmy Ch.1 p.109

Amir al-Momenin Ali (AS) the only man who born in Kaaba:

Shia view

Shias believe Imam Ali (AS) was the rightful successor to Muhammad, and the first of the Shi'a Imams whom the Shi'a believe to be the divinely ordained spiritual leaders of humankind.

Many sources, including all Shi'a ones, record that Ali was the first and only person born inside the Kaaba in the city of Mecca. The tradition states that Ali's mother was at the wall of the Kaaba when it parted, and she entered, to emerge three days later holding the infant Ali in her arms. Numerous sources contend that he was born beside the Kaaba, but not inside the area apparent upon entering through the door, as it was filled with idols. According to the tradition, Ali did not open his eyes until his cousin Muhammad approached. Muhammad took the baby in his hands, put his tongue inside Ali's mouth in an act representing the passing of knowledge, and when the baby sucked on the saliva of this man, he opened his eyes. This is why Muhammad was the first person whom Ali saw as a newborn. Muhammad asked Fatima Binte Asad if she had a name picked out for the child. She informed him that while she was inside, 'being cared for by the beings of heaven who assisted in the effortless delivery of the child', she was told by a majestic voice that this child has been named Ali, meaning "the exalted one".[1][2]

Sunni views

Most Sunni scholars accept the fact that imam Ali ibn Abi Talib was the only man in history born inside the Kaaba. Hakim in his Mustadrak and Nuru'd-din Bin Sabbagh Maliki in his Fusulu'l- Muhimma, Fasl I, p.14, say: "No one before Ali was born in the Ka'ba. This was a distinction given to Ali in order to enhance his honor, rank, and dignity."[3] But some Sunni scholars regard the Mustadrak as an unreliable hadith collection.[4]

Ghadir Khum Event: (Imamate of Imam Ali (AS) )

On Thursday 18th of Dhu al-Hijjah (March 19), Muslims arrived at Ghadir Khumm. Then, the following verse of the Quran was revealed:

O Messenger! proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guideth not those who reject Faith (5:67).[4]

Authenticity

The statement of authenticity was not accepted by a number of prominent later Sunni scholars. Al-Dhahabi, a 14th century Sunni Shafi'i Islamic scholar made an abridged version of the collection named Talkhis al-Mustadrak where he commented on its authenticity. It has become the habit of scholars today working in the field of hadîth, when compiling them and determining their authenticity, to say things like "It is authenticated by al-Hâkim and al-Dhahabî concurs". In doing so, they are referring to al-Dhahabi's Talkhîs, his abridgement of the Mustadrak that is often published along with it in its margins.

Dhahabi also wrote:

The Mustadrak contains a good number of hadîth that conform to the conditions of authenticity of both (al-Bukhârî and Muslim) as well as a number of hadîth conforming to the conditions of either one of them. Perhaps the total number of such hadîth comprises half the book. There is roughly another quarter of the hadîth that have authentic chains of transmission, but that have something else about them or that have some defect. As for the rest, and that is about a fourth, they are rejected and spurious narrations that are unauthentic. Some of those are fabrications. I came to know of them when I prepared an abridgement of the Mustadrak and pointed them out.

al-Dhahabi lamented:

It would have been better if al-Hakim had never compiled it."

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, a 15th century Sunni Islamic scholar states that Mawdu'at al-Kubra is as unreliable in its attributing the grade of being "forged" to certain ahadith as al-Hakim's Mustadrak is unreliable in its declaring the grade of "sound" or Sahih to many ahadith.

and we don't care about what a 5% of Muslim believes who does not have a single Islamic source book and only take sunni books and change it to their liking in an Arab defense section.

The first of them is my brother and the last of them is my (grand) son.” He was asked: “O Messenger of Allah, who is your brother?” He said, “Ali ibn Abi Talib” Then they asked, “And who is your son?” The Holy Prophet replied “Al-Mahdi, the one who will fill the earth with justice and equity like it would be brimming with injustice and tyranny. And by the One Who has raised me as a warner and a give of good tidings, even if a day remains for the life of this world, the Almighty Allah will prolong this day to an extent till he sends my son Mahdi, then he will make Ruhullah ‘Isa ibn Maryam to descend and pray behind him (Imam Al-Mahdi). And the earth will be illuminated by his radiance. [*]A Jewish man named Na'thal came to the Prophet and said, "O' Muhammad, I want to ask you about issues that my heart have been stumbling upon for a long time, and if you give me an answer I will accept Islam", so the Prophet said, "Ask O' Abu Umara", and so the Jewish man said, "O' Muhammad, tell me of your Lord" and so the Prophet answered him, and then the Jewish man asked, "tell me, who is your successor? There has never been a Prophet that has never had a successor, and our Prophet Musa ibn Imran made Jusha' ibn Nun his successor", and so the Prophet said, "My successor is Ali ibn abi Talib, and after him my two sons al Hassan and al Hussain, and then there will be 9 successors from the line of Hussain", so the Jewish man said "O' Muhammad, tell me their names", the Prophet replied "When Hussain dies, then it is his son Ali, and then if Ali dies then it is his son Muhammad, then if Muhammad dies it is his son Ja'far, then if Ja'far dies it is his son Musa, then if Musa dies it is his son Ali, then if Ali dies it is his son Muhammad, then if Muhammad dies then it is his son Ali, if Ali dies then it is his son Hassan, and if he dies it is Muhammad al Mahdi, and therefore they are twelve", and then the Jewish man said, "I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and that Muhammad is his messenger, and that these are your successors. In our ancient books, Musa ibn Imran himself said that there would be a man who would come named Muhammad or Ahmed, and that his successors are twelve"[119]

======

Avoiding the Death of Ignorance:

(remember) the day when we will call every people with their imam [17,71] but whoever is blind in this, he shall (also) be blind in the hereafter; and more erring from the right way [17,72] And surely they had purposed to turn you away from that which we have revealed to you! [17,73]

Prophet Muhammad (SAWA): "He who dies without knowing the Imam of his time, dies the death of (the days of) ignorance (Jahiliyya)." –
The above hadith is found in the authoritative books of both the Shi'ites and Sunnis, including Sahih Bukhari and Musnad Ibn Hanbal. It means that we Muslims ought to be cognizant of the Imam of our times – a living Imam rather than the one that has passed away.
So who is the Imam of our age, whose cognition is compulsory upon us? Otherwise, despite our fervent claims to be Muslims (and that too practising Muslims), we risk dieing the un-Islamic death of a person living in the times and state of ignorance and polytheism.
There have been many self-styled Imams in every age and generation.
Today as Islam continues its rapid spread around the world, more and more mosques are coming up, all of which require Imams or prayer leaders to lead the congregations. It means the tens of millions of mosques worldwide, have an equal, if not greater number of Imams to serve – in shifts as well, as congregations grow.

Did the Prophet mean such Imams in this vital hadith?
Certainly not, otherwise there would be chaos and confusion all around, in view of the nature of these respectable Imams, their degrees of faith and piety, their sectarian bigotry, their professional rivalry, and in some cases their fickleness of faith.

So whom did the Prophet mean while warning Muslims against the death of ignorance?
He ought to have left clear indications as to who should be in charge of Muslim affairs, not just after his departure from the mortal world, but for all times and places, since Islam is the universal religion of all mankind till the Day of Resurrection?
As the Final Emissary of God, and not the elected or selected leader of the Arabs of the days of ignorance (Jahiliyya), the mission of the Seal of Prophethood (SAWA) would be incomplete, were he to leave people in the dark, or vaguely hint at someone who had spent the greater part of his life in idolatry and the sordid practices of the pre-Islamic era of Jahiliyya.
Such thoughts are blasphemy, as all conscientious Muslims concerned about the journey of their soul in afterlife by not wishing to die the death of Jahiliyya, would agree
I have no intention here to refer to the event of Ghadir-Khum following revelation of ayah 67 of Surah Ma'edah that prompted the Prophet to proclaim his dear cousin, the spotlessly pure, Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS), as Mowla (Master) after him – an event chronicled by all authoritative books of hadith and history, including those of our Sunni brethren.
Neither do I want to repeat the Hadith Thaqalayn that emphasizes the pivotal position of the Prophet's Ahl al-Bayt along with that of the holy Qur'an – even though some dispute the Prophet used the word Sunnah (behaviour and practice) and not Itrah (progeny), and these disputers fail to realize that love and affection for the Ahl al-Bayt is not just the Prophet's Sunnah but also an article of faith as per God's commandment in the holy Qur'an (42:24; 3:61; 33:33 etc).
I also leave out here any detailed discussion of the words of the Prophet on the public proclamation of the message of Islam on the Day of Dhul-Ashira, when no one responded to his call except the below-the-teen years, Ali (AS), he said: You are my Wasi (testamentary Legatee) and Khalifa (Successor) – refer to Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal and others.
What I would like to say here is that Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) while expressing the hadith that ought to save Muslims from dieing the death of ignorance, meant a truly divinely-decreed Imam, in the manner of his illustrious ancestor, Prophet Abraham (AS), regarding whom God says: "I make you the Imam of mankind; said he (Abraham) from among my descendants? He (God) said: My pledge does not reach the unjust." (2:124)
Here I mention a famous hadith of the Prophet, recorded among others in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan ibn Dawoud, Sunan Termidhi, etc., with slight variations, which reads: "The (Islamic) religion will continue until the Hour (Day of Resurrection), having Twelve Caliphs for you; all of them will be from Quraysh."
Glory be to God for making it clear to Prophet Abraham (AS) that the unjust and the unprincipled from his progeny, the Quraysh, will never be trustees of the Leadership of mankind even if they were to seize political power and style themselves as Imam, Caliph, or Amir al-Momineen.
And praise be to Prophet Muhammad (SAWA) for removing doubts over the exact number of his true and righteous successors, which fact automatically nullifies the political rule of all those who violated his instructions and the commandments of God, to usurp the caliphate.
On this auspicious day of the 9th Rabi al-Awwal, when the lists of all claimants to the caliphate have been crossed out – the Godless Omayyads numbered 13, while the equally ungodly Abbasids totalled 37 – the figure that emerges for saving Muslims from the death of ignorance is Prophet Muhammad's (SAWA) 12th and last Infallible Successor whose divine mission as the Imam of the Age started this day in 260 AH.
He is in the state of occultation by God's command, but like the sun, even if hidden by the clouds, continues to provide cognizance and guidance to the faithful, until his reappearance by God's command, as Qa'em al-Mahdi (AS), to cleanse the world of all vestiges of corruption and oppression by establishing the global government of peace, prosperity, and justice. Hadith of the two weighty things - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Noble Quran [5, 12-13]:

Allah made a covenant with the children of israel and raised among them twelve chieftains. he said: 'i shall be with you and if you establish the prayers and pay the obligatory charity; if you believe in my messengers and assist them and give allah a generous loan, i shall forgive you your sins and admit you to gardens underneath which rivers flow. whosoever amongst you disbelieves after that, he indeed has strayed from the straight path. (12)

but because they broke their covenant, we cursed them and hardened their hearts. they changed the words from their places and have forgotten a portion of what they were reminded. except for a few, you will always find treachery from them, yet pardon them, and forgive; indeed allah loves the gooddoers. (13)

(remember) the day when we will call every people with their Imam [17,71] but whoever is blind in this, he shall (also) be blind in the hereafter; and more erring from the right way [17,72] And surely they had purposed to turn you away from that which we have revealed to you! [17,73]

and we made them Imams who guided (people) by our command, and we revealed to them the doing of good and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of the alms, and us (alone) did they serve [21,73]

What, do you marvel at the command of Allah? The mercy of Allah and his blessings are on you, Ahlulbayt, surely he is praised, exalted. [11,73] (household of prophet Ibrahim PBUH)

And most certainly we will settle you in the earth after them [14,14] Surah Ibrahim [Mentioning to 14 Infallibles]

Imam Hussain (ra) was a great man who had many impressive virtues that are as relevant today as they were over 1300 years ago.

Muslims, whether Sunnis or Shias, should not use the tragedy of his death as an opportunity to spread hatred against each other.

We must live in peace and aspire to be as good people and Muslims as possible. Nor Prophet Muhammad (saws) nor Imam Hussain (ra) would have wished for us to fight against each other.

99% of all Sunni and Shia Muslims are not interested in this nonsense we see in the Muslim world today.

The other day I read a message on one of my Shia friend's facebook page and message was something like this citing the source as one of the Imam. "Azadari is as rewarding as performing 40 Hajj and not the ordinary Hajj but the Hajj perfromed in the Company of Prophet"

after reading that I dont believe anything Shias say and any book they cite
