Daily Mail reports that Sherwyn (or Shervin) Sarabi, a 3-year old from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, has now become one of the youngest members of Mensa. Sherwyn's IQ score of 136 puts him in the top one per cent of the world's population ranked in order of intelligence.

Sherwyn, who has a reading age of six, began speaking at the age of 10 months and was talking in sentences at 20 months. By the age of two, Sherwyn could read, use iPad and iPhone, count to 200, recognise and name countries, flags, planets in the solar system, parts of the body and internal organs.

After Sherwyn's birth, her mother, Mehrafarin (also known as Amanda) - an Iranian immigrant - decided to become a stay-home mother and spend time educating Sherwyn. Interestingly, despite being a child prodigy, Sherwyn acts and enjoys life as a normal boy and his parents are in no rush to change that. His father, Mehdi Moradzadeh Sarabi, is 37 years old and studied construction management.
