29 militants killed, 7 hideouts destroyed in Orakzai, Khyber agencies

PESHAWAR: Security forces pounded the suspected militants' positions in Upper Orakzai and Khyber agency, killing 29 insurgents and destroying 7 dens.

According to the sources of security forces, in the first action an aerial offensive was launched on militants in Orakzai Agency's areas of Arghanju, Saparsok and Tanboh where 9 militants were taken out while several others were injured. Three militants' hideouts were also destroyed in the air raid.

In the second similar attack with the help of fighter jets, targets in Dawathoi area of Khyber Agency's Tehsil Jamrud were bombarded where 20 militants including one of their commanders were killed while four of their positions were blown away.

These are our common enemies who are out to destabilize the region. They already know that the masses of both Pakistan and Afghanistan have completely rejected them. Their agenda has been to create mayhem by death and destruction. We commend the Pakistani security forces for going after these enemies of peace who have been creating menace on both sides of the border. The only way to bring peace in the region is to go after them with full force, and neutralize them so people can once again live in peace, and work for their prosperity.
