as a hard-core hiker, I do not want development in this area. I want to see the people as they live. I want to see the clear water and valleys as nature intended them to be. once you get hotels and tourists it just spoils everything. people become greedy and the rest is history. if you don't know what I am talking about go to Nepal and you will see. commercialism to the max and its not nice. I love pakistan just the way it is.

Nothing is spoiled in Switzerland, Norway or Canada . Waters are as clear as in Pakistani north.

You know what ? Despite being highly industrialize country, Germany's environment is many time clearer and safer than Pakistan, because there are strict environmental controls.
