Relatives of a Rabbi, who was gunned down along with his pregnant wife during the Mumbai attacks in 2008, have filed a wrongful death suit against Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence and Lashkar-e-Taiba at a Brooklyn court, local media reported on Tuesday. Rabbi Gavriel Noah Holtzberg and his
wife Rivka, who originally were from Brooklyn were killed when the attackers entered the Chabad Lubavitch centre in November 2008. They were slaughtered in front of their two-year-old son Moshe, who was rescued by his nanny Sandra.

The law suit was filed at the Brooklyn Federal Court here by the grandfather of Moshe who now lives in Israel, according to a report in The New York Post.

It claimed that ISI had worked closely with LeT and provided support to the gunmen who killed 166 and wounded more than 300 people, the report said.

"Obviously, Pakistan is an ally of the US in the war in Afghanistan and our efforts to fight al Qaeda," said James Kreindler, the attorney who filed the suit on behalf of Holtzberg family.

"We know, however, that ISI has straddled some fences and while Pakistan is certainly cooperating with us, the ISI has used (Lashkar-e-Taiba) for its own purposes," the NY Daily News has quoted Kreindler as saying.

The claim is largely based on the involvement of Pakistani-American David Headley who has pleaded guilty to plotting the attacks with LeT, the report said, adding the government of Pakistan has also been named as defendants in the suit.

Based on what proof, just mere accusations by the indians which is nothing new. Good luck with the case against ISI. Retardation at its best.

Actually, No! It is based on the statements of David Headley who is in an American prison. This might become interesting because U.S. authorities may be asked to corroborate whether the statements of Headley are true. That would be something to watch.

Don't be too quick with "Good luck" wishes. It is in a U.S. court. Who knows what might happen?

David Gailani Headly, the guy who is time and time again been proven as a double agent a man of dubious character and frankly only the Almighty or the americans know what he is and what not. As I said good luck, and in a way it is good for us that they went to court now that the case is in open the american gov can be forced to reveal the exact details of the interrogations, which can further reveal the exact amount of bs that is there.

Dubious character? He is a terrorist! Of course he is of dubious character. I am beginning to think that the Americans might just use this case to up the pressure on Pakistan. It's easy to say that the courts are independent & the like. Not good news for Pakistan.

:cheesy: As if uptill now US is not pressurising us over non-issues.

And as if US had not been creating bad news for us

rest tell me whatever happens in next episode. It is is getting more like an Indian TV soap

That should be worrying for you! The villain usually gets his just deserts in the end.............:D

And yet again you wish and you hope, when will it be that you guys will actually grow up. Free courts my @$$ I have seen the american justice upfront and close, and yes you would love to see the americans up the anti on Pakistan once more wont ya, after all it will fulfill the life long mission for the indians the americans on the behest of the indians pressurizing the Pakistanis, to go soft on the indians, where as the indians are allowed to do what every they want like a bully on the lose.

Please merge it with the other thread on this..

btw, where does India come into it..?? Its a court case against Pakistani agencies, by an Israeli National in American courts..:hitwall:

May be they should take this as a harsh life lesson and feel the pain of millions in Gaza, Kashmir and all around the world and focus their efforts on uniting the world against terrorism ... Terrorism does not have to be associated with any religion or specific countries ... Wearing uniforms of a powerful country laced with all the modern warfare does not make anyone less of a terrorist and being a Muslim or a minority in any other culture or country does not make you any less of a human being ... It is never against religion against religion or country against other countries, it has always been good against evil, right against wrong ... each and everyone of us is constantly involved in this war .... Which side are you on???

rubbish no proof yet in pakistan's ISI involved in the case

Dont tell me for Gaza or Kashmir or "what so ever war against islam" was the reason behind 10 Pakistanis to cross the border and kill Indian and foreign nationals. Live in the real world not in Phantasy.

What he is saying is that how come they want to 'drag ISI, Lashkar' to court while they cannot do the same justice to Palestinians?

It is drama. As jana said, they pester us about non-issues.

How come a case in Mumbai becomes something related to Palestine cause. If he is comparing apple with oranges then he is surely misguided.

You poor people, whole world want to drag you in everything without a cause? Do you believe so then you are nothing but delusionist?
