22 illegal Bangladeshi pole vaulters sentenced in India !

In a landmark ruling, the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal East sentenced 22 Bangladeshi nationals to two-year prison terms on Thursday. They were further ordered to pay Rs. 10,000 each as fine. In case of default, each prisoner has to undergo a prison term for six more months.

The foreigners had been picked up from Hatta Golabati in Imphal East district on August 30. They had come to India without any travel documents and were eking out a living here as daily wage earners and hawking various items. The court said they were punishable under Section 14-A of the Foreigners Act, 1946.

Police in Thoubal district also rounded up 19 Myanmarese nationals who were staying in Lilong, a Muslim-dominated area in the district. Two more Bangladeshi nationals were arrested at Serou in Thoubal. Police in Jiribam in Imphal East district had prevented a few hundred Bangladeshi nationals from entering Manipur. All these foreigners are in judicial remand and their cases are likely to be heard soon.

10 years jail? u mean to give them free food for 10 years? Just deport them or make them work in free labour camps....

When we says that " there are millions of illegal bangladeshis living in India ", they start asking proves( documents ) but when we gives proves then those documented bangladeshi becomes undocumented Indian Muslims. Does't matter how much proves we gives. Bangladeshis( including those bangladeshis who himself/herself living as immigrant ) deny this facts. Tell us what should we do to prove them as their countrymen illegally migrated to India.
