The 2023 Southeast Asian Games (Khmer: ការប្រកួតកីឡាប្រជាជាតិអាស៊ីអាគ្នេយ៍២០២៣), commonly known as the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, or the 32nd SEA Games, and commonly known as Cambodia 2023, will be the 32nd edition of the Southeast Asian Games, a biennial sports multi-sport event which will be held from 5 to 17 May 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The announcement was made at the SEA Games Federation Council meeting at Singapore, in conjunction with the 2015 Southeast Asian Games,[1] by the President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, Thong Khon.[2][3] The Philippines was originally scheduled to host the Games, but was pushed forward to 2019 after Brunei withdrew to host the event. This will be the first time that Cambodia will host the games, as the 3rd Southeast Asian Peninsular (SEAP) Games in 1963 was cancelled due to the political situation in the country at the time. The event will feature 40 sports.[4]

Indonesia national women basketball team went to Taiwan recently as preparation for SEA-Games. For men team, they will start the program next Monday and will go to Australia.

Indonesia men national volleyball team, so far the strongest in South East Asia. In previous SEAGAMES in Hanoi, Vietnam, they defeated Vietnam in final.

We can see their domination within SEA level

Just know that Cambodia still has king like Thailand, Malaysia, and Brunei

Indonesian men 3on3 national basketball team has new composition, 2 previous player will strengthen 5on5 national team, there are several new players called, including Ikram Fadhil (the one holding the ball). They have started their SEAGAMES preparation

For men competition, Indonesia will not send its best team (something that I dont agree), the volleyball organization said they will use 60 : 40 Senior/Junior players composition.

I hope they show their best team in Asian Games and Asia Cup competition this year. Dimas Saputra, 27 years old, for example is not selected.

This kind of composition is not necessary, Indonesia basketball team for example dont limit their players age for SEAGAMES, Arki Wisnu, 35 years old and Kaleb Ramot, 31 years old, for example are still called for SEAGAMES.

-------------------

Indonesian sport is still not getting enough financial support from government. Women basketball team for example doesnt get financial support to get plane tickets despite it gets Silver Medal in previous SEA Games.

Indonesian 3on3 team for SEAGAMES 2023 against Sri Lanka. 90 % new team, seems nervous on their first international competition.

Look like Indonesian women team doesnt send 3on3 team in SEAGAMES and focusing on 5x5 team. The target is to get Gold for 5on5 basketball game. Previously Indonesia women 5on5 get silver in previous SEAGAMES and sit behind Philippine. I would say the problem of not sending 3on3 team for women basketball is probably due to financial issue and also the determination to get Gold for 5x5 competition.

Thailand vs Australia. Indonesian women team doesnt send its team for this year Asia Cup 3on3 competition, last year Indonesian team sits in third place in Asia Cup after Australia and China.

Just want to show SEA basketball level
