Senate elections will be the next big test for the PTI government scheduled in March 2021. No wonder PM Imran Khan has given his ministers six months to perform. For a majority in the Upper House he has to keep his MNAs as well as the coalition intact. For this he is going to need someone like Jehangir Khan Tareen who has been side-lined. PTI (and coalition partners) already have 41 seats, and opposition has 63. That means they only need 11 more seats to take control. I think they have a solid shot.

half members will retire mostly from PPPP once they complete 6 years but some possible from govt coalition(based upon lottery but most PPP members are up.

afterward, i expect PTI to grab around a total of 40 seats which will make coalition number around 50

PTI will continue allow PPP to destroy Karachi so they can get support from PPP in Senate election.

Senate elections are always won by ruling party unless our establishment is unhappy.
And now they have passed bew laws. Vote is now open. And not closed as used to. More chances of government winning and less chance of horse trading
