KARACHI: Pakistan’s electrical and electronics industry has great
potential to export its products, while providing new
employment opportunities in the country, according to a
statement on Thursday. To tap this potential, business acumen Electrofair Pakistan 2012 is
being organised on November 28–30 at the Karachi Expo Centre, said
Engr Obaid-ur-Rahman Khan, chairman of the Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers Pakistan (IEEEP) Karachi Centre, at the soft launch
of the event. “The event will again prove to be the country’s premier electrical and
electronics industry exhibition, covering latest technology of electrical,
electronics, lighting, telecommunication, instrumentation and control,
allied services and other related industries,” he said. This event offers an exclusive networking platform for local and
international participants and multiple opportunities to meet key
decision makers, manufacturers and system integrators, said Khan. This is an exclusive place to build contacts with traders and service
providers and land major deals with the international partners, he said. He said that Electrofair Pakistan 2012 is a major event, which is taking
place through concerted effort of the Institution of the Electrical and
Electronics Engineers Pakistan (IEEEP) Karachi Centre. Electrofair Pakistan is an ideal platform for captive power producers,
construction companies, energy service providers, engineering and
procurement companies, engineering consultant / practitioners,
engineers and technologists, facility manager and power industry
OEMs, fuel suppliers, general contractors, government and business
delegations from the region, government’s energy and regulatory departments, government officials and decision makers, independent
power producers (IPPs), IT professionals / managers, engineering
universities faculty, electrical and electronic engineering students and
other allied industries, he added.
