Pakistan Airforce Engineering , shows it can construct hardware and not only software

2012 , was the year where we learned that Pakistan Airforce , is not only leading force that builds Advance jets like JF17 thunders but it has ability to manufacture , any display hardware ability to work with hardware showed that we have ability to develop advance interfaces and avionics components for furtuer crafts , UAV

These skills can some day be used to make advance soldier carried information devices

The enhancements will effect the data link and electronic warfare capabilities. An air-to-air refueling capability will be added, as will be new guided weapons. A two-seat variant is being developed, too. The current program schedule calls for the Pakistan-based factory to deliver the JF-17 Block-2 to the PAF from mid-2012. Then, a Block-3 version is planned from 2016Block-1 aircraft are being delivered until the middle of next year.

China is providing Pakistan , peaceful force 50 JF17 block 2 , and total number of jets in Pakistan Airforce will be 100 crafts

Not only does Pakistan created 50 planes inside Pakistan they manged to get 50 planes from China Armed to teeth with latest missiles !! and Avionics, slapping French Sanctions in face

December 5, 2012: Pakistan recently announced that it would obtain armed UAVs from China. Few other details were revealed. Pakistan has been trying to develop armed UAVs for over six years. China, however, has recently indicated that it has several missiles, especially the Blue Arrow 7 and HJ-10, that are identical in size and performance to the American Hellfire and can be used from UAVs. While these missiles have recently been offered for export, there are no known buyers or indications of how well these missiles actually work. China has also been offering a UAV of similar shape, weight, and performance as the U.S. Predator. Called CH-4, this UAV is similar in shape to the larger American MQ-9 Reaper, while its size is almost identical to the 1.2 ton Predator. CH-4 weighs 1.1 tons, has a 14 meter (46 feet) wingspan, and is 9 meters (28 feet) long. It has max altitude of 5,300 meters (16,400 feet) and an endurance of over 20 hours. This UAV should be able to carry a pair of Blue Arrow 7 missiles.

You may want to read the thread specific about JF17 Thunder, the shipment was slatted from January 2012 -December 2012 , emegency basis in case you missed it

Things look bright , for Pakistan Airforce , only icing on cake will be J11 in Pakistani colors or early delivery of J10B

But I just wanted to apprecite what Pakistan Airforce has achived in 2012, not forgetting 10,000+ hours flying the JF17 Thunder platform what remarkable safty record

Reaching Almost 100 jets , and also upgrading all F16 C/D and the goods will keep on coming 2012 -2015

In 2012 Pakistan got its 4th Air Refueler , yes people that is right 4th Air refueler in 2012

azad bhaiee , is there any secret negotiations going on for the j11's acquitions for Pakistan air forCe ... ?? :pakistan:

Well These achievements should be applauded, but we shouldn't forget that how many planes we have lost.... some thing need to be done ....

Most issues were related to Trining cadets and the new simultors will help New Pilots get more comfortable prior to attempting to fly the real plane

* We are getting Simulators
* We are discussing possibilities of getting new Jet trainers to help better facilitate trining

The only suprise was 1 single JF17 but in end it was being factory tested it was not even part of Pakistan Airforce

Since we are getting 300 JF17 Thunders , the issue with Mirage crashes will resolve it self as we will have 0KM planes for even our new pilots

For me I think Pakistan Airforce showed great promise this year

We look forward to J11 and J10B now

Another observation was made was he has the symbol of Mirge on his uniform in another picture , so its certainly our Mirage Navy Pilot the stories connect

when is pak going to buy used f-16's?

Pakistan has got 30 extra kits for future 16 purchases , on top of 14 options (kits as part of third contract as mentioned in link in above post) , so we are looking at another 45 F16C/D standard planes to be added to Pakistan Airforce

**Norway
**US Airforce

The 14 F16 should be from US airforce but why Pakistan got 30-32 extra kits of F16 Upgrade , remains to be seen where these fighter jets will be purchased from but high chance

Norway, long shot Venazuella who operte F16 A/B which will rust away due to part shortages
