Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) - A Saudi satellite station has revealed that the total number of drones in the Kingdom is more than 2,000.
On the "Nqdar" program, broadcast on the official "Saudi" channel, presenter Muhannad Abu Obaid said that there are more than two thousand drones in Saudi Arabia.
During the creation of the program dedicated to talking about the manufacture of drones in the Kingdom, Abu Obaid said that they are being produced by at least 6 government agencies, while there are 3 private sector companies working in the same field.

The "Saudi" channel toured the factory of the "Buraq" company, which is specialized in producing unmanned aircraft. they met its founder Saeed al-Zahrani, a 27-year-old Saudi man.
Al-Zahrani studied Aerospace and Aircraft Engineering at Ambry Riddle University in Florida, USA. He previously won a competition at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center in the UAE.
The "Buraq" company is concerned with manufacturing unmanned aircrafts for commercial and military purposes.
Al-Zahrani invoked the name "Buraq" from the Islamic tradition, because it is his goal in the end "to make something very fast".
