Afghanistan and Syria aren't comparable Afghanistan is large country with an area of 6,52,000 square kilometers and area of Syria is 1,85,000 square kilometers and terrain of Afghanistan is difficult

Russians were never on the front lines in Afghanistan. Democratic Republic of Afghanistan personnel were the ones on the front lines. Russians were merely air support.

American population is 327 million and 50k dieing in accidents is normal. USSR army in Afghanistan was around 100,000. The casualties are actually 15000 and 35000 wounded. U must be a special kind of idiot to even call 10k accidental deaths out of total of 100K soldiers as "normal". Lolz no wonder ur every thread is dumb and dumber.

Almost half of US casualties in Vietnam were accidents. When soldiers are under stress in war, accidents are way higher than in peace time.

Viet Cong had state of the art air defense that shot down thousands of American planes. Mujahedeen didn't have air defense to shoot down Russian planes. No Russians fought on the ground. Only Democratic Republic of Afghanistan personnel did.
