Sir is it confirmed that it was JF17's and they were jamming Indian Radars?

Not sure if it was such a good idea since the Indians would have definitely recorded the signals just like we recorded the signals of the MKI in 2008. Although no doubt the Aircraft was detected late, PAF pilots have mastered the art of flying low and maneuvering their planes to avoid radar detection. In case of hostilities, they would have launched their stand off or anti radiation missiles at Indian positions.

Compare this to the incident in 2008 when the MKI's and Mirage 2000's were immediately intercepted as they closed in on the border. Feels good to know that PAF is on top of their game, denying Air Superiority to the IAF is extremely important. If the Indians establish Air Superiority, their Armour will simply punch through and i doubt it if PA can stop it.

Atlantic-91 left Mehran (Sindh province) Naval Base in Pakistan at 9:15 a.m. (PST). An Indian Air Force ground radar picked up the flight path of the plane approaching the International Border.[2] Two IAF Mig-21 interceptor aircraft of No.45 Squadron, from the Indian airbase at Naliya in the Kutch region, were soon scrambled by the Indian Air Force.[3] After a series of maneuvers—and a conflicting version of events from both sides—the two jets were given clearance to shoot down the Pakistani plane.[2] At 11:17 a.m. IST (10:47 a.m. PST), nearly two hours after takeoff from Pakistan, the Atlantique was intercepted and an infrared homing R-60 air-to-air missile was fired at it by Squadron Leader P.K. Bro its not a childs play to fire anti radiation missles in peace time...when nothing is wrong...2nd we are not in a possition to afford such luxury

but a similar violation was done by indian SU-30 MKIs after the 2008 buildup after the mumbai episode! & at that point in time pakistan showed the images to the USA and all the allies.

There was a very good article that I could not find right away that explained this(Its even here on this forum). After the Mumbai attacks, Pakistan complained about its airspace being violated. After inquiring, India found that this was true to the extent that the 'No-fly' zone was violated, not Pak airspace. Also the plane in question was NOT a fighter jet, rather a RAW operated spy plane, like a Gulfstream or something similar.

The myth here is about PAF intercepting this plane and (here's the cheap filmy part) showing photos of this interception to the US ambassador!

I am not sure that you made this statement fully aware of the facts of this shootdown. I request you Umer to just read the following article and judge for yourself. Please dont dismiss this link without reading it carefully. After all we are here to educate ourself, no?

Ever heard of the HUD or that the fighters have a recording system, which records everything it sees and later on you can even take out pictures from these flight video films. Hope this you don't term as something of a cheap filmy part, as this is real.

I honestly believe that this article is very factual and free of any biases. But anyway, I am certainly open to new information. For instance I never believed the Pakistani claim about Indian violations of 'Nofly zone' in 2008. But once there was semi-official confirmation of this , I have amended my statements.
About the HUD photos, I am certain that no one can produce it in any public forum. It is one of those stories that would be simply an incredible coup for PAF to show, so since nobody in the public has seen these photos, I am sure it never happened. Can one person here on this forum truthfully say that they have seen these photos?
