Two effects were decisive:

1. EF Tranche 4 acquisition, including delivery schedule, almost starting to clear.
2. The situation revealed by the increasing aggression of Russia and the recent statements of the NATO secretary regarding NATO's strategic planning.

MSB should not pause the work towards EF acquisition.

We also need to see that steps are taken without wasting time on raising Block-40 and 50+ to Block-70 level.

Other ongoing non-NATO jet acquisition talks should also continue in parallel.

Let's look at three important facts that the Turkish media forgot.....

The first fact is the repeated statement of Senator Menendez, a few days ago he emphasized the same at the New Jersey expatriate event to strengthen his campaign. The second fact is that the sale of F-16s to Turkey will be decided by the relevant Congress Committees: the Senate International Relations Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Armed Forces Committees of the two bodies. The heads of the Committees can stop the sale. Mr Menendez has set conditions for Turkey to agree to go ahead with the sale. Ankara already rejected them. Her problem.

Finally, the third fact is that the similar corresponding amendments of the House, filed by MP Chris Pappas and Pelone, remain "alive". It may or may not be included in the defense budget bill. But it is important that it was voted by an overwhelming majority by the Plenary of the Parliament.

Why is the Eurofighter "unfortunate?" - it represents a capability upgrade over the F16s and is a stepping stone until the TF-X turns up.

yes but they are replacable with turk aselsan havelsan sensors radar and engine two majoe parts are european made made
