1971 war a RAW success?

@armstrong, no, but trying to become one. Completed fourth year this June!why?

Zab,I think u dont have proper knowledge as you are not in Medical site, But what mr.Iajdani has said is absolutely true .

True dat :D

I'm in Commerce and technology.

In fact many, every year there are some Kashmiri students getting enrolled in KUET and Khulna University and I didn't know about Uttara Women Medical College as iajdani just said. So, in total that will be many.

I am surprised. Really...

iajdani said:
I dont know man, but BD seems very popular in Kashmir. Last time in SAARC women soccer contest, one of the Afhgan girl said that her parents allowed her to come only because BD is a muslim country. That's probably a reason, who knows. I am not saying BD is a safer place for girls but some psychology does work here.
They come under Saarc scholarship! Only kashmiris and nepali students used to come previously! But recently Malaysians of indian origin and South Indians have started to come.... The latest batch of my college got 225 students, out of them 40 are foreigners. Most of them are from South India....

Puran Pagole Bhat Pay Na, Natun dar Abar Amadani Hoilo Koththeke?

Signs and symbols are already indicating that mass's grievance has already reached at that level. Proofs are Arial Bill, Pabna and Baufal's mob justice to RAWAMY dalals. But it would be very difficult to engineer fight on revolution’s magnitude as people are armless and RAWamys have unending supply from IND as well as police, Mill are in their hands, thanks.

Don't worry about having no arms on our side, if Hasina don't allow CTG, we need to think of facebook, twitter etc. and starting a new Bangladeshi Spring, in line with Arab Spring movements, non violent take over of public square type areas (Motijheel near Shapla chattar and nearby big roads) and sit-in till demands are met. We will see then which idiot police and army can order to open fire on our people, we can bet these will be the Hasina's loyal RAW agents that we are looking for. Bangladesh is not like Syria, it is not even like Egypt, if the casualty goes to 100 un-armed protesters killed, there will be a revolution. There will be RAW trained provocateurs that will try to sabotage and fire on the police or army from the protesters side. Such people will have to be caught and dealt with right away. Also, people will have to take over the roof tops and nearby buildings where RAW may put snipers to kill people. But they can be caught easily if we have people in all nearby buildings in every floor, and people are using mobile to ask them to move and isolate any snipers, and then bring in additional armed police or reinforcement to catch them.

My estimate is that the maximum number of lost lives will be less than 200 before Hasina govt. will fall, because people have a legitimate demand, CTG, which has become a tradition in Bangladesh.

Hope BNP and other parties are planning something like this. It will be a good PR for Bangladesh as one of the Muslim spring countries, following the Arab spring and will be object of admiration of democracy lovers in the whole world. I am involved with the Occupy movement and people in the US absolutely love the Arab spring and its democratic spirit of non-violent protest. Occupy Wall street movement started copying the spirit of Arab spring.

Yes, a big success of RAW. The biggest in my opinion. Everything was planned so well that there was backup for everything and no-way back or escape route for Pakistan. I believe, that this was Intelligence success for India but military failure. The advantages Indians had over us, if we only look at battles being fought on several fronts, Pakistan army did miraculous job.

If I may remind, we are going off topic. But I will share my experience a little. I used to vacation in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and Almaty, Kazakhstan, those two cities are full of Indian and some Pakistani medical students, not a single Bangladeshi student there, I heard from some local Bangladeshi's. Many of the Indians are laughing stock of the local people as they wear kind of strange out of fashion Indian clothes and the specialty is wearing sandals most of the time. Pakistani's apparently dress more normally.

I think its good that so many students are travelling, I was a foreign student myself.

Then Doctor Sahib...when can I come for a Rhinoplasty ? Make me pretty...please ! :D
sorry bro, i don't have the hands of a Surgeon! Actually i am third class in everything. I have a pakistani bro in my class from Lahore who is super skilled in everything! Just imagine, the guy got four gf all reading in same institution!

Sometime I think you know if we could take back all subcontinental leaders' dead bodies instrumental in partition and later in other anarchy like 71 from grave for Muslim and that Pindi (maybe not sure) for Hindu, put them altogether in a grinder and grind them mercilessly until sounds of cry come from the dead ones. Partition could have been acceptable had there no partition of individual states like Bangla, Punjab and Kashmir (though Kashmir is different). I would personally take care of Nehru, Patel, Mujib and Bhutto ;) . I don't know lot about Punjabi, Kashmiri but regarding Bangla I've seen how it has created the divide and also the suffering of partition among the people of both East and West parts. Amazingly, it was all for the sake of religion !!

To be honest...I dunno ! An overwhelmingly majority, from what I know, in AJK want to be with Pakistan but then you've got JKLF sympathisers there in who'd rather go for an Independent Kashmir altogether. The Northern Areas on the other-hand (which were part of the Princely State of Kashmir) have reiterated their difference from the rest of Kashmir because of a different culture, language and ethnicity as proof enough to be dealt with as a separate entity altogether; consequently one of their greatest grievance against the Government of Pakistan is that they haven't been incorporated as the 5 th Province of the Country but instead they've been ruled by a Political Agent of the Federal Government, however that has changed in recent years with the Northern Areas or Gilgit Baltistan as they're called now have a de facto Provincial Status with an elected legislative assembly of their own ! Naturally Independence isn't their desire but better Governance and greater incorporation with the rest of Pakistan is.

As for the Indian Side - thats the bit I'm not too sure about ! I mean the few relatives I have who decided to stay back in '47 are fiercely pro-Pakistan but then again there is also a very pronounced pro-Independence movement going on there as well ! I think had Pakistan not so badly handled the Kashmir situation by helping train and arm the Kashmiri youth that had come to Pakistan for the same two things and then gone back to fight against the Indian Armed Forces, we might not have alienated the common Kashmiri who may or may not have lost loved ones due to collateral damage that guerilla warfare involves ! But I'm sure there are those in Kashmir who are so preoccupied with the basic necessity of life that they'd just want better Governance. Plus the Hindus and the Buddhist who are in a majority in Ladakh and Jammu would, I assume, want to stay with India instead of either Independence or Pakistan !

As for us - the assimilated Kashmirs who've been living here in mainland Pakistan for decades and sometimes well before the Partition and have assimilated to the extent that we've practically forgotten our original culture and languages - we're Pakistanis ! Period ! And whatever bond we may have with Kashmir it isn't remotely overpowering enough for us to choose Kashmir over Pakistan !

Hope that helps but to be honest the facts are all fudged up and we may not know what the ground realities are unless its ever put to the test through an electoral process ! And that isn't something I foresee happening ! However if there is a unanimity between, I think, the Kashmiris from either side its that there should be a closure of the conflict and the outstanding issues !

Pakistan from the very beginning has been suffering from the problem of handling issues right way. Several reports say handling the Baloch issue isn't going well. I wonder after 40 years how one makes the same mistake  ! I read a report where one Baloch rebel leader's sister and relatives were killed by para-military troop of Pakistan...why so? Will that leader ever in life be soft after that great loss?

P.S A Pakistani from Lahore is a complete Tharki - Yup..that sounds like us !

Everyone is saying Occupy Wall street is a movement without any view, what do you say?

Mate, as a great admirer of Jinnah and someone who very proudly calls him 'Our Father', I'd stick with his Pakistan till the very end ! I fully, unequivocally support the Partition of India...I wouldn't have it any other way and I'm sure neither would the Indians. Having said that the thing is that for most of us Muslims out there words like 'the Shariah', 'Islamic Finance', 'Islamic Polity' weren't just fancy words...they meant a lot to us. As I have understood Jinnah, his conception of Pakistan was neither a 'Secular' state nor the 'Islamist' state that these Molvis (Religious Clerics) would have us believe but rather a pluralistic, democratic state where the Muslims will be able to protect, nurture and develop their Islamic Ideology for the better but at the same time Non-Muslims will not be made 'Second Class Citizens' - they'd enjoy the same rights and privileges as the rest of us with strong constitutional guarantees to ensure that they don't go from being 'religious minorities' to 'social and political minorities', a little like the orignial 'Constitution of Medina'! Unfortunately thats exactly what happened - We saved the Islamic Ideology but we neither nurtured nor developed it the way Iqbal wanted us to but we made every effort conceivable to be as hypocritical as humanly possible by using the name of Islam. Also we ended up reducing our 'Religious Minorities' to Second-Class citizenry and went one step further by shamelessly persecuting them at time. For that neither God, his Prophet or Jinnah and Iqbal would forgive us !

As for Balochistan : I dunno we've got resident Baloch here on PDF in the form of 'MastBalochi', 'PakistaniNationalist' and 'Irfan Baloch' who assert that neither the Army nor the FC is responsible for the extra-judicial killings in Balochistan and that the common Baloch, though very much desirous of greater provincial autonomy and development, has no desire to join hands with an organization (the BLA) that ends up killing many of their own kind ! However, I've also met Baloch who, though being Pro-Pakistan, are vehemently Anti-Pakistan Army and they in turn assert that unless the Government reigns in the Security Agencies the Province will be lost ! What is the truth ? I really don't know because one of our greatest faults of the past 65 years has been that we didn't incorporate Balochistan with the rest of Pakistan as well as we should have. However the good thing about the present is that you'd see the average Pakistani speaking up against the mistreatment of the Baloch People, the media going frenzy over any alleged Human Rights abuses....heck students in Karachi (and Lahore) even took to the streets to protest and collect donations to start development projects in Balochistan themselves.
