Certain contingents of the Imperial Japanese Army during WW 2 was a disgrace to the uniform and values of Military,they lacked compassion considering the treatment they meted out to the Indian POWs,shot them in the head and filmed the whole thing,However Indian POW in Malaya Campaign were treated with honor probably due to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose who created INA from these POW and invaded North East India.

30 + ~ took part from from my ancestral village in Dogra Regiment,Burma front,most of them returned,few went MIA,i have pics from Burma Campaign in which Japanese POW were treated well by Gurkahs,Sikhs and Rajput regiment forces and proper trial of Japanese officers in Burma,for their war crime.
