MACHH: The bodies of 14 out of a total of 30 kidnapped passengers were found from the mountains near Machh in Bolan district, Balochistan Express News reported on Tuesday.
The passengers were on board five buses bound for Rajanpur in Punjab.
According to Dr Kashif, Assistant Commissioner of Machh, normally passenger buses out of Balochistan are escorted with safety personnel. However, a militant attack on an oil tanker in the same area lead to cross fire between the militants and the Balochistan Levies and Frontier Corps (FC), which kept security forces busy.
During the combat, one FC officer lost his life while two others were injured, Dr Kashif confirmed.
“Search operations in the area are continuing,” the assistant commissioner added while speaking to Express News.
The remaining passengers are still missing and the chief minister of Balochistan has taken notice of the incident.
The Frontier Corps (FC), the security force deployed in the province, has been struggling to maintain peace in unstable areas particularly those affected by ethnic and sectarian violence.

مسافر بسیں کوئٹہ سے راجن پور اور صادق آباد جا رہی تھیں کہ بلوچستان کے علاقے مچھ میں گشتری کے مقام پر نامعلوم مسلح افراد نے مسافر بسوں سے 24 مسافروں کو اتار کر اغواء کر لیا، اطلاعات کے مطابق 24 میں سے 14 مسافروں کو شناخت کے بعد قتل کردیا گیا جن کی لاشیں مچھ کے قریبی پہاڑوں سے ملیں، مغویوں کو جائے وقوعہ سے 10 کلو میٹر پید ل لے جانے کے بعد قتل کیا گیا، لاشوں کو اسپتال منتقل کردیا گیا، جاں بحق ہونے والے 14 افراد کا تعلق پنجاب کے مختلف علاقوں سے بتایا جاتا ہے۔
اسسٹنٹ کمشنر مچھ ڈاکٹر کاشف محمد بنی کے مطابق دیگر اغوا کیے جانے والے 10 افراد کو شناختی کارڈ چیک کرنے کے بعد چھوڑ دیا گیا، واقعے کی اطلاع ملتے ہی سکیورٹی فورسز، پولیس اور لیویز نے علاقے کو گھیرے میں لے کر سرچ آپریشن شروع کردیا۔
اس سے قبل اسی علاقے میں کراچی سے کوئٹہ جانے والے آئل ٹینکرز پر نامعلوم افراد نے حملہ کرکے فائرنگ شروع کردی، پولیس نے موقع پر پہنچ کر ملزمان پر فائرنگ کردی، جبکہ ملزمان کی جوابی فائرنگ سے ایک ایف سی اہلکار جاں بحق اور ایک زخمی ہوگیا تھا۔ ٹینکرز پاکستانی فضائیہ کا ایندھن لے کر جارہے تھے۔

This is indeed the fault on the lack of administration and security arrangements since the security agencies have issued warning to provincial government about the place and nature of attack yet the security arrangements lacked and this event took place.
